05:09so after that interception and the return of 34 yards
05:13the offense due to penalties has moved back 15 yards

05:34you know we were talking on the pre-game show with the guys in studio about the offensive line the
05:44continuity what's also an issue for this team right now in this preseason is offensive line depth so it's an
05:51opportunity for these guys who are getting the time to show hey not only can i play the position you
05:56put me at i could play another position as well and provide that depth that's what they want one
06:00guys who can be versatile guys who can play multiple positions on that offensive line and be like a swing
06:05tackle or a guy who can play guard center but you need the depth it's a long season
06:11corbin it's wrapped up right away cedric gray
06:15and you see chris blair getting into it with someone on the defense for tennessee
06:23because this is an interesting point in the ball game here's third 20 you got almost three minutes
06:28before half you're right there on the line of field goal range obviously cool
06:34a guy who we're waiting to see tonight but can easton stick give him something that can make this field
06:39go a little bit easier obviously you don't want to you want to get a first down but sometimes you
06:43got to take what's given to you to help the field goal unit maybe this is one of those situations we
06:48see if he can help himself
06:54stick he will help them out with a pass to chris blair and blair is inside the 25 picks up 14.
07:02that makes it a much easy much easier attempt for young way coup
07:10nice protection this time around no penalties and then what do you know they get a good playoff
07:14good pitch and catch and as justin mentioned much more manageable field goal attempt for young way coup

07:40way too last season it's no secret he struggled 25 or 34 we saw it start in the preseason and there's
07:49a reason why lenny krieg is here this year i talked to to young way and uh he says he has a big chip on
07:57his shoulder he was very disappointed he wasn't fully healthy last year i think everyone knows that
08:02and he is hungry to get back out here and get back to his top form he's got a young baby at home now he's
08:09playing for something bigger than himself but he has lenny krieg here coming in for this competition
08:14and the luxury here is that they may be able to keep both of them krieg has a booming leg but he's an
08:20international player so he could get that designation and come in and they could he won't count against
08:25the roster for them last week his first kick 57 yards made it easily top of your rob you could feel
08:37the boom from way up here in the booth when he connected with that ball and so he definitely has a
08:42monster leg but again they could end up keeping both of these guys and krieg wouldn't count as a
08:47roster spot for them so that brings up a really interesting dynamic because then all of a sudden
08:52you could have krieg be your long field goal guy maybe 55 yards and beyond and coup inside of that this
09:00one from 42 yards the player who was injured was kendall brooks he had that 53-yard pick six earlier for
09:06tennessee the first attempt this preseason for young way coup
09:18and young way coup no problems here

10:26they went to north dekapp stadium to teach the young athletes football skills and drills

10:47for those kids when you're there that means everything to be around a professional athlete
10:53yeah no doubt about it i i get to kind of feel that firsthand now with my son who was growing up

11:03know their eyes are big and wide watching what's going on so it's definitely a cool moment to know
11:08that you have the impact on the young future of this world this ball is placed at the 20 after being

12:30time so i think if they pick up this first down they'll pick up the pace

14:43it's a good look at these passing situations you got jordan fuller and xavier watts out there at the
14:47two safety positions they're both battling for that starting spot alongside jesse bates
14:56now a low throw and it is ruled a catch by james crochet a pickup of 11.
15:03a little soft coverage right here playing like corners coverage on the yacht's house clean off but
15:10now you can see the corner started to come up play a little bit tighter coverage after some easy
15:15completion allen to the sideline once again to crochet and it will be another catch it looked like he may
15:24have been juggling the ball but he's able to hold on picks up 12 this time man coverage there again and
15:30again it was lamar jackson who was uh targeted he is playing a bit off there maybe he wants to go
15:36switch it up a bit and get pressed because they're certainly looking his way on several of these throws
15:42on this two-minute drive

18:29getting over top of the underneath player and putting enough zip on the ball to not allow that safety to
18:35get back in and make a play on it great drive by allen joey slime missed an extra point back in the first
18:41quarter and he makes it here in the second to go up by 10 13 to three ronnie harrison jr jordan fuller
18:48were there on the coverage ronnie harrison one of the guys the falcons signed this week
18:54incredible play both the throw and the catch safety fuller there got a little too wide he felt pressure
19:03from that guy running his streak up the sideline there and he left his mark a bit too soon that gave
19:09allen just enough time to zip that ball in there those are the type of throws we call hug the ceiling
19:15as quarterback you throw it just high enough to get over the backer but not too high where it goes to
19:20the safety and a nice job there of hugging the ceiling and it's a bang bang play but strong hands right
19:26there from gunna helm the rookie a nice drive by brendan allen six of six 68 yards and that touchdown
19:34went for 25 yards so he slide and kicked off patron brooks jesse matthews back to receive
19:41going to be matthews taking it for the one excuse me that's brooks
19:56nice return by brooks he's looked good in joint practices all week i was there to see him in
20:00person making a lot of plays against the first team and second team offense including cam ward throwing
20:06the ball out there and he does have an opportunity to make a mark on special teams as well
20:10all right so we talked about what tennessee did they had three timeouts remaining here are the falcons
20:17with three timeouts remaining 31 seconds to go last week easton stick did the bulk of his damage
20:23in the two-minute drill a little bit more time then but obviously 31 seconds he's still got three timeouts
20:30can you find yourself to get in the field goal range but this first down play is is a big one he's taking
20:35the shot down the field drummond's there and it's tipped incomplete marcus harris on the coverage
20:45drummond great job of getting past his defender there and that falls a little farther and it's
20:51going to be a completion and watch this go if he throws the football across the field you see where
20:55the post is going he throws it back towards the numbers it allows the corner to come back and make
21:00a play on it but if he throws it back across the field where drummond is going it's a big play waiting
21:08yeah one east is going to walk that one back as well because there's
21:11no safety in the middle of field throws it across the field it's another huge play
21:15stick as his tight end felipe franks over the middle picks up nine will they use a timeout

21:34so shock talk to me about that on that throw where you said if he throws it more towards the middle like
21:40the post pattern is being run yes it could be a big play potentially a touchdown how much time as
21:46a quarterback do you have to know where i can throw that ball do i do i throw it towards the post do i
21:52cut it off how do you make that choice as a quarterback the first thing you do you're checking
21:56the safety you're checking where they are and on that particular play the safety was down so there's
22:00nobody in the middle of the field so you want to throw it to grass so watch this play there's no safety
22:05in the middle you see that plan he cuts there on the quarter cover you throw it towards the middle of the
22:09field look there's nobody in this range over here you throw it that far across the field it separates
22:15you from that defensive back so now you have the angle you want but throwing it back towards the
22:20numbers it allows the corner to come back into play so you're looking at that safety to figure out where
22:25he is absolutely because if there's a deep third safety you can't throw that post you got to find
22:29on another tick down better than one stick on the run this is incomplete with 10 seconds to go

24:24just can't have it happen so we got
24:25to go fix those things.
24:26Defensively you've got a lot of
24:27position battles of play they got to
24:29test themselves against Cam Ward for
24:31so much of that first half what was
24:33your evaluation of your D really
24:34excited about what the defense did
24:35other than that two minute drive when
24:37they got a chance to go down there
24:37and hit a big play we had a couple
24:39opportunities to stop it early we
24:40didn't get that done we got to get
24:41those things done and cleaned up but
24:43really find out we're out on defense
24:44we got to get our stuff going on
24:45offense without the penalties.

25:51other than that they're moving the ball
25:53pretty well we're going to see

25:56want to see him because he didn't get
25:58a chance to see him a lot last week see
25:59how he plays and get this offense
26:01going to get some points on the board.
26:02Alright let's take a look at the
26:03first half highlights brought to you

26:09look good starting out of the big
26:11third down conversion you're talking
26:12about putting the ball in plate

26:16week and then the defense started to
26:17get going with some talent behind
26:19the bottom scrimmage.
26:19Some guys like Brandon Gorlis
26:21standing out we saw James Pierce pressure
26:23the quarterback at one point and then
26:25Natron Brooks with the interception
26:28that's a way to turn some heads at
26:30training camp as a defender.
26:32The stats from the first half neither
26:35team able to run the ball all that well
26:37turnovers one a piece.
26:39The difference is the Titans they
26:41capitalized with their turnover on a
26:44pick six but the penalties that is the
26:47big story right there when you look at
26:49it 7 for 50 as you mentioned Corey versus
26:513 for 25.
26:53Brahim Morris spoke about it with Jen Hale.
26:56He said we got to clean that up I mean we're
26:58just we're doing it to ourselves.
27:00They start you out they stop drives
27:02they put you behind the line of
27:03scrimmage we can't have the
27:05unnecessary buildings and like Ross
27:06said we have buildings that we can
27:08control those we can't have.

28:59Pretty meaningful the first year.
29:01We had four great players and
29:03there's my son there Joshua as
29:04well.
29:05And we had a great year and TGL is
29:07doing extraordinarily well at a
29:09seventh team this year.
29:11ESPN is happy.
29:13Our players are happy.
29:14Our fans were happy.
29:15And we look forward to a second
29:16year and going through there.
29:17What I loved about that is you were
29:20at every single match that your
29:22team played just like you're at
29:23every single Falcons game.
29:25You were invested.
29:26You're invested in all your teams.
29:28You're not just an owner.
29:29You're a fan.
29:30Why.
29:31What is it about it?
29:32Well I mean that's you know I
29:34love being connected to whatever
29:36business we're in.
29:37In this case we're talking about
29:38football or soccer or golf and
29:41whatever.
29:42And you know getting close to the
29:43players getting close to the
29:44fans getting close to all the
29:46folks and sponsors that support
29:48us our media partners.
29:49All of that is what really brings
29:51me the joy and loving to see our
29:54fans out here tonight.
29:55I mean we're not at the winning
29:56end of this thing.
29:57But it's really not without
29:58winning tonight.
29:59It's about talent evaluation.
30:00And we have close to 40,000 fans
30:03in the building tonight which we
30:04really appreciate.
30:05And you've had thousands and
30:07thousands of fans sell out
30:08practices during the training
30:10camp.
30:11A lot of excitement around this
30:12team.
30:13Five primetime games for Atlanta
30:15in 2025.
30:16A lot of that is coming from an
30:18exciting young quarterback.
30:19Right.
30:20An exciting draft class on the
30:21defensive side of the ball.
30:22What are you most excited for
30:24for this upcoming season?
30:25Well I'm excited for all those
30:26reasons.
30:27I mean you know 70% of our
30:28production last year on
30:29offense came from players over
30:3125 years or younger.
30:32And that's that's a really high
30:34stat in the NFL.
30:36Well this year first for a picture
30:39on defense who excited about all
30:40for the pics excited about all of
30:41our picks and all of our college
30:43free agents as well.
30:44But particularly those four
30:45players and bring back Jeff
30:46Ulbricht who we think is one of
30:48the premier defensive coordinators
30:50in the league.
30:51Bring him back home as a leader on
30:53defense and of course Raheem
30:54who's balanced both ways as a
30:56head coach offensive defense as
30:57well.
30:58So we're excited about where we
31:00are.
31:01We have the five five time games
31:02we have the single game which is
31:03kind of a primetime game as well
31:05in Berlin in October.
31:06So we're excited about that.
31:07And you know the NFL makes those
31:10choices with great care and the
31:11media partners do as well.
31:12So they have a lot of confidence
31:14in our young team.
31:16They have confidence on the
31:17direction we were moving in.
31:18They're excited about sharing all
31:21of these players and their
31:22profiles with America.
31:24So it should be exciting year for
31:26us.
31:27I'm going to ask you about your
31:28quarterback.
31:29You talk about some of the young
31:30talent.
31:31Obviously Michael Penix Jr.
31:32went out this offseason.
31:34Now he's QB1.
31:35He sought out like Matt Ryan.
31:36He sought out Michael Vick.
31:38We saw him at the TGL sitting
31:39with Mike during that time.
31:41What has that relationship been
31:43like with Mike coming into this
31:45role and what are your thoughts
31:48on him?
31:49You know I mean he had a you know
31:50he had a really good year this
31:51last year.
31:52He studied hard and worked very
31:55collaboratively with Kirk Cousins
31:56during the first part of the season
31:58picked it up in the last three
31:59games played exceptionally well
32:01during during those three games
32:03and and and he's worked just
32:06beautifully with the whole roster
32:07during this offseason including
32:09our training camp.
32:10So excited about where Mike is.
32:12He's got humility but he's got
32:14the athletic confidence as well.
32:16and Kirk continues to be a great
32:19supporter of Mike and working
32:21closely with him.
32:22We very appreciate that as well.
32:24So you know we're in a good place
32:26and you know Mike's had a ton of
32:28experience you know in college
32:30three three professional games.
32:32But in college you don't play
32:33preseason games.
32:34You all know we go directly from
32:36their you know from their training
32:37camp if you will and they start
32:38their regular season.
32:39Well in the NFL for Mike Pinnock
32:41to be very much the same way.
32:42But we love where he is physically
32:45and mentally and his leadership
32:46abilities.
32:48Corey talks about the excitement
32:50at flowery branch as this pass
32:52is incomplete.
32:54There seems to be a different type
32:56of excitement vibe around this
32:58team.

39:52But usually somewhere between one and two in terms of fan experience.
39:55Which includes food and beverage but includes how do people feel when they walk in the door.

40:01Do they feel secure.
40:02Do they feel like they're taken care of.
40:03Do they feel like people listen to them and respond to them etc.
40:06So.
40:07It's this environment that we create here.
40:10That brings our fans really back.
40:11And food and beverage is a big piece of it.
40:13But so is everything else.
40:14So.
40:15When we tell our fans welcome home.
40:17I mean we really welcome home.
40:18And they feel like this is their home.
40:20Whether it be.
40:21A football game.
40:22A soccer game.
40:23A concert.
40:24Or whatever it may be.

40:26It's a it's a big story.
40:27And we want to thank all of our fans and.
40:29In every way they support us.

41:17Or whether it be.

41:19Whether it be.

41:22Climate change.
41:23Whether it be.
41:24Youth development.
41:25Every area that work.
41:26We're working in.
41:27We're trying to make a difference in people's lives.
41:29Trying to find ways to give back.
41:30And to touch people.
41:32As much as we can.
41:33And make a difference in their lives.
41:35It's a way to say thank you to them.

41:43It's being recycled back through our family foundation.

43:29Single bedroom.

43:32Shared that room with my brother.
43:33Mother and dad.
43:34Slept in the foyer.

43:37Came from.

43:39Not much of a background in terms of economics.
43:40But I had great values.
43:42Started with my parents.
43:44Particularly from my mother.
43:45Who lived almost to be a hundred years old.
43:47Who lost my dad.
43:48When he was young.
43:49Forty four.
43:50But I think.
43:51You know.
43:52Being able to carry out.
43:53Those values.
43:54And live those values.
43:55Not only personally.
43:56But more importantly.
43:57In all of our businesses.
43:58Including our foundation.
43:59Is really what gives my life.
44:01A lot of the purpose that I have.
44:03Beyond my.
44:04Six beautiful children.
44:05And six beautiful grandchildren.

44:09Being around this city.

44:13But they talk about the difference you've made.

44:25I've had unique opportunities.
44:26I've tried to take advantage of them.

44:36How do we have more of an impact?

44:43Lots of folks are under a lot of pressure now.
44:44We try to find ways to.
44:46To support them in ways that are meaningful.

45:41I think we've recognized the talent that we have.

45:47In areas where we knew we had to get better.

45:49Pass rush.
45:50And a couple other positions as well.

45:52And we know we have.
45:53A young.
45:54Very talented team on offense.
45:55Led by.
45:56What we think is going to be a really great quarterback.

45:59His professional career along.
