Sit in the comfort of your home and get a certified copy of your vehicle or pay your traffic fines... this will soon become a reality as announced by Transport and Aviation Minister Eli Zakour.

00:00It's becoming easier to do transactions at the Ministry of Works and Transport.
00:07Next week we'll be launching a new online certified copy system where persons could
00:13go online pay and receive their certified copy in the mail.
00:21Applicants of the online system will have two choices
00:24collecting at TT Connect locations throughout the country or delivery to the home or office.
00:32The certified copy can be delivered to TT Connect locations across the country for a fee of $130.77.
00:42A further breakdown certified copy $100, TT post fee $27 and a bank and convenience fee $3.77.
00:55Or you can have it delivered to your home or office for the cost of $158.99.
01:04That will be $100 for the copy, $55 for the TT post fee and $3.99 for the convenience and the bank fee.
01:14Delivery time will be three working days in Trinidad and roughly four working days for Tobago.
01:21This will take effect from next week and there's more good news.
01:25Later this month the Ministry is going to launch its new online traffic payment system
01:32where persons could pay the fixed penalty tickets online via scanning the QR code on a fixed penalty ticket
01:41which will take you to the portal or going on to the website.
01:46It of course comes with a minor cost.
01:49There will be a fee of $2.75 bank fee and 0.8% value of the ticket.
