00:00Hi, good night everyone. So tonight we have some flooding taking place in a number of communities within Kuba Tabaki
00:07Talparo.
00:07We have flooding in the Claxton Bay area, we have flooding in the Gasparilla area, we have flooding in the
00:12Calcutta area.
00:13County Nadia and MP for Claxton Bay and some of the things they are on the field with our city
00:18DRC disaster management.
00:20In Claxton Bay we have County Ravi Primer, which is another disaster management team in the Gasparilla area.
00:25And here in Kuba we have County Aline with some MPAP workers. We have Mr Ramdan also who is one
00:34of our drivers.
00:35He came out early this evening so we are filling some sandbags to take to some of the residents in
00:39Calcutta.
00:39I want to thank these residents for their patience this afternoon with us.
00:43Some of the residents they have been coming here as we stockpile in Kuba also.
00:47So we are preparing some sandbags to send out and our disaster management unit they have been activated.
00:52Conservation is also working along with Andy Gulcharan to manage the disaster management activities this evening.
00:59So we are on the ground this evening. It has been an exorbitant amount of rainfall in a very short
01:05period of time so we are aware of the flooding in certain areas.
01:08The next step will be identifying those areas where we have some clogs and doing the necessary cleaning and unclogging
01:15of these water courses tomorrow and going into the weekend and so on.
01:18So we are here in the Calcutta Settlement area. Myself and Councillor Arlene Solomon Ramester.
01:24This resident councilor in this area. We have a resident in this particular street who's house.
01:30This is for the very first time and they needed some sandbags.
01:35So this is our post of our point and we will be continuing in and around the Calcutta area delivering
01:39sandbags and assisting the residents to put them in place and so on.
01:43So I want to thank you for adding our check-up team from this area for coming out tonight.
01:49And we are driving out of the Saramden from Bionipil.
01:52And we are going as long as we need to send so that our villagers are safe tonight.
