00:02although this is certainly not a guarantee that they would move him.

00:05It feels like, to me, it's more of an off-season deal.

00:07He's stepped back from where he was last year,

00:10but two years ago you could never imagine he'd emerge to be this kind of player.

00:18I mean, they claim, I guess, that Boston's just no room for this player.

00:22It's sort of weird here to me.

00:24But I'm going to guess he stays,

00:27and maybe they revisit this in a bigger deal this off-season.

00:32I think they're going to have to wrestle with,

00:34if you wait until the off-season, you lose some value, right,

00:36because the team doesn't get him for one less pennant run.

00:40You already said the reason why they would move him because, you know,

00:43you've got Rafael, you've got Abreu, you've got Anthony.

00:45I think there's somebody else coming up as well here.

00:47There's just not enough room for everyone.

00:49And the earlier you train, the more theoretically you'll get back.

00:53I think this would be an interesting move.

00:54It wouldn't be a Devers trade.

00:55They wanted to get rid of Devers because Devers was a problem.

00:58You know, Duran's not a problem.

00:59He's actually a decent player here.

01:01I think it would make a lot of sense for the Mets, by the way,

01:03if they could pull off a deal there.

01:05Mets need a Sanfield, which Duran would be.

01:07Another bat wouldn't hurt even to lengthen that lineup here.

01:18But he's another guy.

01:19We're going to hear his name because he does have value out there.

01:21And he has more value than Lou Herbert.

01:25So I'm going to say, I don't think he moves.

01:28You know, but I think teams are going to kick.

01:30And I think boards are going to have to make a decision because I think they

01:32will get some offers.

01:33They're like, ooh, wow.

01:35And, you know, if they can get that number two, number three starter for him,

01:39you know, they're going to have to consider it.

01:41But also, boards is not playing all that well right now.

01:45The all-star break ended.

01:46So maybe they're going to, once again, we're not in it.

01:49You know, we thought we were.

01:50So they may not be looking to make additions for this year,

01:52more for long term in the future.

01:55The Pirates have to get some assets back on this deadline.

02:00Mitch Keller, who was their opening day starter pre-Paul Skeens, has had a nice year again.

02:18But, man, like some team could really use him down the stretch to help out a little bit.

02:31I think he's got three more, including the rest of this year, obviously.

02:35It's about 16, 17 million a year, something like that.

02:39SP3 is pretty much what he is for a playoff team.

02:42Now, he does pitch in Pittsburgh.

02:44We know he's one of the better pitchers, ballparks in baseball.

02:46So, that certainly helps those numbers.

02:48But he'll be a good addition for really any team.

02:51I think the team's going to talk about him and Bednar, you know,

02:54even trying to get a package deal there for better prospects.

02:57Pittsburgh should trade him.

02:58I understand he's cost-controlled.

02:59But Pittsburgh, their organization is pretty much loaded with young pitching.

03:03We know Bubba Chandler, who we were hoping to see at some point this year, is there.

03:05They've got some others as well here.

03:07So, they can afford to deal their pitching.

03:09Not especially looking back Jared Jones at some point next season.

03:13I think he moves.

03:15But, once again, and you can't trust anybody.

03:18They're all lying to you.

03:19But you're hearing Pittsburgh go, oh, no, I don't think we want to keep him

03:22and keep our pitching depth, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

03:24Once again, they're trying to drive the price up.

03:25I think he's on another team Thursday.

03:28Emmanuel Class A feels like this could be the time Cleveland would move him,

03:32potentially.

03:33They've been really careful with his usage.

03:36His numbers are not what they have been.

03:38But they shouldn't be, George.

03:39They've used this guy so much over the last five years.

03:42I mean, relief pitchers just can't simply do this year after year, pumping 100, throwing

03:4980 innings their entire life.

03:52There's shelf life on these arms.

03:55And I guess what Cleveland has to weigh is that, is this the sell moment for Emmanuel Class A?

03:59You mentioned Kate Smith.

04:00It's kind of like they have maybe a better reliever than him to take over.

04:04But at the same time, are the Guardians going to punt right now?

04:07They're right in the race.

04:32You know, I think they'll get some offers, but not enough to move the needle here.
