Oregon Ducks Dan Lanning discusses adapting to the rules and change of college football
Transcript
00:00I've said since the beginning that it's all about adapting, right, because we have to
00:08continue to adapt.
00:09I think at some point, we've got to say, okay, is this working, and give it time to work
00:12too before we continue to enforce and create new rules, because every time you do something
00:17new, you create something new, you let some more toothpaste out of the tube, and you can't
00:21put it back in.
00:23So right now, I do credit Tony and the leadership that we have at the top of college board,
00:29football, and try to find some solutions, but the truth is, what happened is, four
00:34years ago, or whatever, this got let out of the tube, and now people are trying to figure
00:38out how to fix it, and it's tough to fix, so I'm not big on, like, here's my idea to change
00:43college football.
00:44It's more about, I'm going to adapt to what the rules are, and be ready to adapt again
00:47when they change.
00:48What do you want to do to be able to adapt and kind of continue to just be flexible?
00:51Just know that yesterday has nothing to do with tomorrow, and continue to challenge yourself
00:57what to say, think outside of the box, find new ways to do things.
