00:04How did the way that guys like Dylan Thienemann and Jayden Kennedy found success in unique
00:08roles in terms of their versatility last year inform the way you guys kind of tried to construct
00:11this year's secondary?
00:13How will it, you said?
00:14Or what?
00:14Like, how did it?
00:15You guys built a secondary over the offseason, but how did the way that those guys had success
00:19in unique roles in terms of versatility kind of inform this year's decision-making?
00:23Yeah, I think, I mean, always you're trying to play to two things.
00:26People that fit your system and have the character and the athletic ability to fit what you
00:31do, and then your job as a coach to be able to make sure the scheme fits to what your
00:35players do.
00:36And that's part of what the spring's figuring out.
00:37We got, on both sides of the ball, we got, you know, a multitude of calls that we can
00:41execute.
00:42We got to figure out which ones we can execute the best, and then how that fits our personnel
00:45that's going to be on the field.
00:47Eric, Dylan.
00:48With Dylan here now and Dante, two guys with big, you know, powerful starting experience.
00:52What's the dynamic there?
00:53Have you seen those two work together?
00:55What's the competition looking like, I guess?
00:56Yeah, it's like, it's like the same it is in every room, right?
00:59Guys going out there competing, making each other better, right?
01:01And every one of these guys cheer for each other's success.
01:04They want to see each other.
01:05You know, when you step out in the field and practice, it's offense versus defense.
01:08Offense wants to win, defense wants to win, right?
01:10So these guys compete at the highest level.
01:12When they're out there on the field, they're hoping for each other's success because the
01:14stronger we are as a team, right, the better we're going to be as a team.
01:17So they've worked really, really well together, just like every position we have out there.
01:25But they don't already think this is doesn't look like you, right?
01:27When doing the society, people are not telling, they go out there, right?
01:27Better take advantage of them like me.
01:28But they're doing a thing.
01:28They're depending on how you can have that success.
