Oregon Ducks Coach Dan Lanning discusses how they struggled in penalties in their game against Indiana and what they need to improve on
Transcript
00:00All right, certainly a disappointing result,
00:07but we didn't play well enough to go win that game,
00:10and Indiana certainly did.
00:11That really well-coached team, they did a great job.
00:17They did a great job in this game.
00:18They had a great plan.
00:19They were able to create pressure throughout,
00:21and we struggled on third down, struggled to protect the quarterback.
00:25Ultimately, they were more prepared for us in this moment.
00:27You know, I don't think there was any letdown from our players.
00:28Our crowd was outstanding and created, you know,
00:31some penalties and some opportunities for us.
00:34But ultimately, we shot ourselves in the foot
00:36and had several penalties ourselves,
00:38which has been a little bit uncharacteristic for us.
00:40So can't play behind the chains on offense.
00:42We had a hard time generating success,
00:44and any time we did, we kind of, you know, hurt ourselves.
00:47But again, unbelievably prepared, great team.
00:50Coach Cignetti, their quarterback, played well.
00:52Their defense played really, really well, right,
00:54and they did some things that will be good for us
00:55to be able to attack and look at for the future.
