Oregon Ducks Coach Dan Lanning discusses adapting to the rules of college football
Transcript
00:00I've said since the beginning that it's all about adapting, right, because we have to
00:08continue to adapt.
00:09I think at some point we've got to say, okay, is this working, and give it time to work
00:12too before we continue to enforce and create new rules.
00:15Because every time you do something new, you create something new, you know, you let some
00:19more toothpaste out of the tube and you can't put it back in.
00:23So right now, I do credit Tony and the leadership that we have at the top of college board,
00:29football, to try to find some solutions, but the truth is what happened is four years ago
00:34or whatever, this got let out of the tube and now people are trying to figure out how to
00:38fix it, and it's tough to fix.
00:40So I'm not big on, like, here's my idea to change college football.
00:44It's more about I'm going to adapt to what the rules are and be ready to adapt again when
00:47they change.
00:48What do you want to do to be able to adapt and kind of continue to just be flexible?
00:51Just know that yesterday has nothing to do with tomorrow and continue to, you know, challenge
00:57yourself to say how to think outside of the box, find new ways to do things.
01:04So, let's skip here.
01:05See.
01:07Using experience we get a year of now.
01:09Let's get started.
01:10I'll be going to finish this break.
01:18And raise my contract again.
01:23Verein.
01:23So I accept you, last time I come back to this break.
