00:00on the process right now we're down on the process like we've had a lot of

00:09success you know in our program because we've done we've learned to do things a

00:14certain way improve you know continue to have that same really really attribute

00:19our growth mindset our DNA traits that have become really essential to who we

00:24are and what we are and then building off of that and say okay like let's

00:28hammer let's continue to focus on those things that have made us really who we

00:31are so far right well yeah but it's also work right so like doubling down is like

00:38continue to work your ass off your practice right doubling down is continuing

00:42to run and drill that you don't fit your body's telling you know right doubling

00:46downs get the sleep necessary right it's it's every day right it's it's focused

00:50on all those pieces. Coach it seems in the last few years you've made an emphasis to

00:54have former players around the program whether it's a spring game or in other

00:57situations like Mateo was working out with Kayvon Thibodeau the offseason can

01:00you talk about the impact that those former players have had on your team?

01:03Yeah I think more than anything like those guys built this program right like

01:07they were here long before I was and I always want them to feel welcome to be a

01:11part of what we're what we're doing now because I hope they look at the

01:14University of Oregon with a sense of pride, a sense of admiration, a sense of

01:18respect of what the University did for them but when that career is over with it

01:22doesn't mean all of a sudden okay that your time's done don't be here anymore now

01:25it's that's time to to make sure that they get to be a part and be back around

01:29our guys and they've earned that right not necessarily with an ask not with a

01:34hey we make this appearance or make this phone call like just the opportunity to

01:37be around our team. You mentioned earlier all the new faces that'll be on the

01:41field for your team this year what excites you most as a coaching staff when you

01:44have that level of turnover where you're kind of ushering in new players in a lot of

01:47different positions. Yeah kind of the same that I said share on the stage like I

01:51don't know what issues will arise throughout camp but it's fun to be able

01:54to solve issues together right
