00:00This season on Project Runway, thousands of fashion hopefuls from across the country
00:07auditioned for the chance to show America that they are the next great American designer.
00:12You have a lovely day now.
00:14We picked the 15 most talented and flew them to New York to compete for the opportunity
00:19of a lifetime.
00:21Tonight, all 15 meet again for the first time since they gathered in New York.
00:26We'll see exclusive unseen footage.
00:29The designers will answer your questions.
00:31We'll give $10,000 to the winner of this year's fan favorite competition and revisit the most
00:37memorable moments from season four of Project Runway.
00:44Hello designers.
00:45Hello.
00:46Welcome.
00:48Tim Gunn and I would like to welcome you back to your old stomping grounds.
00:52Parsons, the new school for design.
00:55They look a little bit more relaxed today, no?
00:57They do.
00:58Absolutely.
00:59Absolutely.
01:00They used to be very tense standing there in the spotlight.
01:03Different circumstances today, but we're thrilled to be with you again and it's wonderful
01:07to see you.
01:09Do you know what?
01:10We have so many millions of fans to thank.
01:12And later tonight, we will announce the winner of the fan favorite competition.
01:17The winner will receive a check for $10,000.
01:20Nice.
01:21Thrilling, huh?
01:22Very nice.
01:23It's been a while.
01:24I haven't seen you guys in such a long time.
01:26You've been out and about in the public again and it's been airing.
01:29How has it been?
01:30It's weird.
01:31Why is it weird?
01:32Because our lives haven't changed as far as our jobs.
01:35So when you're walking around doing your normal routine, it's like people just stop
01:39you.
01:40I want to know, Simone, how has it been for you?
01:41You left us a little bit on the earlier side.
01:43I did.
01:44I left early.
01:45It's been good, actually.
01:46Kit and I were in the airport and there was a group of kids that were all flying together
01:49and they rushed up to us and were like, we want your picture.
01:51Yeah.
01:52Yeah, I get a lot of emails from like eight year old little girls and they send me like
01:56scans of their illustrations and they ask me for my advice and it's the coolest part
02:01is to be a positive inspiration to, you know, young kids who want to design.
02:05These little girls that come up and they recognize me.
02:07And that's amazing because they're just like, you gave me such hope that like, you know,
02:11it's okay if I think differently and it's okay if I don't do things the way everybody else
02:14does.
02:15That part's really awesome.
02:16My favorite part is when celebrities accost me.
02:19Who's accosted you, sweet pea?
02:21Jack Black said I was his favorite.
02:24Catherine Keener.
02:26Like Brad Pitt was in the vicinity and I was like, Brad Pitt's right there.
02:29Why does anyone care that I'm here?
02:31And they were like, they want to meet you.
02:33And I'm like, are you kidding?
02:35I loved it.
02:36Victoria, I want to know how it's been for you.
02:38And you just had a show for Fashion Week.
02:40Yes.
02:41Congratulations.
02:42Yeah, congratulations.
02:45And that was your first fashion show, yeah?
02:47Yes.
02:48And how was that?
02:49A lot of work, but the turnout was great and I've gotten some write-ups.
02:55Congratulations, really.
02:56That's a wonderful achievement.
02:58What I would like to know from you guys, when you first came and you all met each other,
03:02who did you think would be showing at Fashion Week?
03:05I thought Carmen right off the bat.
03:07You're so sweet, Miriam.
03:09I was actually impressed by everyone.
03:11Like, to be honest, I thought everyone was really good.
03:14Steve, what did you think was really, really good?
03:16You know, I remember during that very first challenge watching Rami play with that gray fabric for four or five hours straight and never picking up the scissors and just thinking to myself, Jesus, that kid is screwed.
03:28And then all of a sudden I turned around and I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. Just where did you pull this out of? I was really blown away by him straight off the bat.
03:38I want to cut to the chase now.
03:40Great.
03:41Go for it.
03:42And bring out our finalists.
03:43Yay.
03:44Okay?
03:45Our first designer was the winner of the final challenge of the season, our young prodigy, Christian Siriano.
03:51Welcome.
03:52How long did you spend on your hair today?
03:57I don't know.
03:58I did it like four times.
03:59It's fierce.
04:00Our next finalist represents the women in fashion, Jillian Lewis.
04:09Yay.
04:10We missed you all.
04:12Thank you, you are.
04:15Our third designer, draping master, Rami Cashew.
04:20Our last designer is known for his dramatic flair and his over-the-top personality and designs.
04:33Chris March.
04:34Yay.
04:41Welcome.
04:43Did you miss everybody?
04:44Yeah.
04:46This year on Project Runway, the judges were gridlocked in their deliberation about who to move forward to Fashion Week.
04:52So it ended differently than it has in any previous season.
04:56Let's take a look.
04:58Designers, this was a difficult decision.
05:01Only one of you will move on to compete at Fashion Week.
05:06Chris, you're in.
05:09Rami, you're also in.
05:14What?
05:15We're going to give you both an opportunity to create collections for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
05:25Now, don't get too excited because only one of you will make it there.
05:31When you return to New York for Fashion Week, you will show us your three strongest looks.
05:36We will determine which one of you will move on to compete at Fashion Week and which one will be out.
05:44We're both in.
05:46We're here.
05:47We'll choose one of us after we do the collection.
05:49We're both in.
05:50How did you guys feel?
05:55It still chokes me up to even think about it because when you said that I was in, I was just like in total, absolute, mortified shock.
06:06And then when you said Rami was in, I was like, oh, they're not doing this.
06:11You caught me off guard.
06:13But it kind of brought us closer together because we kind of like knew that we had the same battle ahead of us.
06:19So, Rami and Chris, how are you each feeling about your collections?
06:22I love my collection.
06:23I think it's a, what is it?
06:25It's a little, maybe a little kooky.
06:28Um, not too much though.
06:31And whether or not it ends up being in the finals, I'm really thrilled with it.
06:36Rami?
06:37I'm very proud of what I've done.
06:40I feel very strongly about it.
06:41I could only be hopeful that it will impress the judges in the end and that I will get to speak my voice as a designer.
06:48What would it mean to you to go to Fashion Week?
06:50It would mean having beaten him for one thing.
06:53And it's the world stage of fashion.
06:55I mean, it's the Super Bowl.
06:58It is.
06:59I would just like, like...
07:01Well, there's another person sitting right here who we all had high hopes for.
07:06You know, we thought was going to maybe make it to the finale.
07:09But due to health issues, didn't.
07:12Let's see what happened.
07:14Oh, God.
07:17I had what I thought was like a pimple in the inside of my nose and it's getting progressively worse.
07:23I have had skin sap infections twice before and I'm kind of concerned.
07:27Are you hurting?
07:28I'm not hurting.
07:29I'm just...
07:30The treatment is really hardcore and I'm afraid I'll have to leave and do it.
07:35Jack definitely looks a little swollen.
07:38It's kind of scary, you know?
07:40Hey, Dr. Bowman.
07:41So basically what's going on is I am almost, you know, I'm 95% sure I have a MRSA in my face again.
07:50For me it is important for people to know that I've been HIV positive for 17 years but my immune system is not suppressed at all.
07:58So it wasn't about that.
08:00Anyone can get what I got.
08:01It's a dangerous bacteria.
08:03Obviously I have some health issues going on.
08:06It's certainly not the way I wanted to go out but I think I have to go to the hospital.
08:14I think I need to leave this out.
08:17We have to support your getting better.
08:19I know.
08:20That was probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever made in my life.
08:24It was absolutely heartbreaking.
08:27Jack and I just had a discussion and I just want Jack to share it with you.
08:33Well, you all know I've had this infection in my face.
08:37I'm just concerned about getting better.
08:40I had so much fun.
08:41I certainly don't want to leave like this but I just don't feel comfortable being here anymore.
08:48Jack's made the decision to leave.
08:50It was so nice to meet all of you.
08:53Well, I had the best time of my life.
08:55Literally.
09:00It's such an honor.
09:01Oh my God.
09:08I'm crying now.
09:09The tissues.
09:10Jack, we all of course want to know how you feel now.
09:13It was very serious and I made the right decision but, you know, shortly thereafter I was fine.
09:18But you were in the hospital, what, for a week?
09:20Yeah, I was in the hospital for five days.
09:22That's very serious.
09:23As quickly as it came, it kind of healed itself.
09:26But, you know, it's very emotional for me.
09:28Christian, how did that affect all of you?
09:31I just felt really close to Jack.
09:33Having just worked in a team challenge with him where we had such a great time, it just like, it hit us like a big storm and it was sad.
09:41But I'm glad I get to see him now.
09:43Victoria, you were very upset also.
09:48And a little angry.
09:50I'd say I was upset.
09:51I don't, I'd say upset is probably the key operative word for me in regards to that situation.
09:58Victoria's always a bit uptight, no?
10:01Or is it just me?
10:02No.
10:03It's not just you.
10:04Do you think about coming back for next season?
10:08I get asked that all the time.
10:10So, actually the top questions I get are, is Tim that nice?
10:13Is Heidi that pretty?
10:14And are you coming back next season?
10:16I swear to God, that's what everyone asks.
10:18I want to know all three answers to all three questions.
10:21Yes, yes, I don't know.
10:23Alright.
10:24The next question is from Maurice.
10:26This was actually texted to us, to the Project Runway Mobile fan club.
10:30And he asks, Kevin, are you sure you're not gay?
10:37Well, um, I've been hanging out with Jack a lot.
10:41I've probably been in every gay bar in the city.
10:45But no, no, I live with my girlfriend, everything's kind of cool now.
10:47I don't know about this.
10:48Are you convinced?
10:51Not entirely.
10:52Because we have so much great footage that we have to look at right now.
11:01Oh my God.
11:02Get ready.
11:03I have plenty of quote unquote girlfriends now.
11:06Kevin, what are you trying to say?
11:08But of my, no, no, you know, like it's a different gender.
11:11I mean, the same gender.
11:12Ah, snap.
11:14You're going to speak flu and gay by the time you leave here.
11:22Ladies and gentlemen, it's Jack Newdower.
11:33Every morning, Jack's running to the bathroom in his underwear, freezing his ass off.
11:37Like, oh my God, I'm so cold.
11:38And I'm like, for the love of God, please put some clothes on.
11:41I'm trying so hard on this show not to be gay.
11:44It was too fruity.
11:46It looks fruity.
11:48Fruity?
11:49Jesus.
11:50She calls my outfit fruity.
11:51Like, I would not like my husband walking around like that.
11:53If I had to make an outfit for Steele, I would have made the same one, but I would have made it even more feminine.
11:59I think Kevin's adorable.
12:01It was really freaking weird, like, sleeping alone last night.
12:04Oh, I can't sleep with you.
12:07Maybe I was gay in my former life.
12:09I have no idea, but, um, I mean, it doesn't bother me.
12:18Wow.
12:20I just have to say, if being on Project Runway didn't turn you gay, nothing will.
12:24No, no.
12:25That's true.
12:26Oh, my God.
12:27Do you want to come sit next to me?
12:28All right, everybody.
12:31Coming up on Project Runway.
12:33Are any of you upset about anything you saw or heard others say about you on the show?
12:39Yes.
12:40Yes.
12:41It was very hurtful.
12:43One of you was able to laugh it off.
12:53Welcome back to Project Runway, Season 4 Reunion.
12:56I would like to go to our first question from BravoTV.com, and that question is from Molly.
13:02Designers, who do you think will win the fan-favorite competition?
13:06Oh.
13:07Chris.
13:08Chris.
13:09Lovely Chris.
13:10It's between Chris and Christian.
13:11Sweet Pea.
13:12I wish.
13:13I want the money.
13:15I voted for Tim.
13:19You know one question I get asked most of the time?
13:21What's that?
13:22Is it really as grueling as it appears on TV?
13:25Oh, God, yes.
13:27It's the way it works.
13:28It's the way it works.
13:29It's a tranny mess.
13:30A hot mess.
13:31A hot mess.
13:32Christian, tell everybody how it really is.
13:36We work so much.
13:38And we eat Chinese food.
13:40And I mean, girlfriend, that is not cute for everyone.
13:42I mean, thanks.
13:43I thought it was the best diet ever.
13:46Like, I lost like 10 pounds in a week.
13:47Yeah.
13:48I lost so much weight.
13:49Yeah.
13:50I have a very great quote from Kit.
13:51Uh-oh.
13:52My boyfriend put a woman on the plane, and he's going to get back a 13-year-old boy.
13:56When women lose weight, that first 10 pounds, it's here and here.
14:01It's all gone.
14:03Boop!
14:04Chris, how was it for you?
14:05The weird thing to me was, you know, being a big fan of the show for so long.
14:10It's like all of a sudden, the first day, here's Tim, Heidi, runway, so something, everything.
14:16It's like, I'm on the project runway that I've watched for three seasons.
14:21And you don't have time to stop and think about it.
14:24You just keep going and going and going and going and going.
14:26And then it's all a big blur.
14:28Mm-hmm.
14:29I know that the long hours and the lack of sleep made all of you feel as though you were living in a different world.
14:34Maybe even a different planet.
14:36Yeah.
14:37And there was one of you about whom it was speculated may be from another planet, owing to your unconventional methods.
14:43Let's take a look.
14:45Elisa is a very intriguing person.
14:48Oh, it's already wet.
14:50I know, I just did a spit mark.
14:51What do you mean?
14:52You spit on it?
14:53Yeah.
14:54What is going on?
14:56Sometimes I spit mark it, which seems to be really disturbing.
14:59What?
15:00You just go, beep, beep, beep, beep.
15:02Okay, got it.
15:03Okay, great.
15:04Then you sit down and you sew the seam and you sew that seam and you pull it up and it's a pinata.
15:10Or you pull it up and it's a couture dress.
15:13What planet are you from?
15:15I'm coming to your planet but with gifts.
15:18I know in this context of Project Runway they really see me as someone from another planet.
15:25I had a dream last night that I got dropped on an alien planet and they were cannibalistic humanoids.
15:33Elisa, she's just cuckoo.
15:35She writes backwards in her journal.
15:40She's like Mork from Mork and Mindy.
15:42Like a little like...
15:43That's a technical term.
15:46My brain is going...
15:47Elisa is on some happy planet in the galaxy.
15:54I'm not sure of the name.
15:56What did you spray on that?
15:59It dispels negative energy and rejuvenates and makes people happy.
16:04Keep your brain waves off me.
16:06I know that no one gets what I do, but that doesn't make what I do not good.
16:12If this like spitting in three spots gives you that kind of sleeve, then keep on spitting.
16:18Just don't tell anyone about it.
16:19Okay.
16:22I mean you have to say that was a technique no one has ever heard of before.
16:27You're really blessing.
16:28There's words that go with it.
16:29So when you're marking the fabric, I mean that's what my clients pay for.
16:32There's a blessing that goes with it.
16:33Apparently you also write backwards.
16:35I do write backwards.
16:36My idol when I was about 18 was Leonardo da Vinci.
16:39And so I decided to start teaching myself to write backwards
16:42so that I could come up with my writing and my poetry that wasn't so conscious.
16:45And then it just became like a thing that was fun to do.
16:48What's my name backwards?
16:49What does it spell?
16:50Well I can tell you this is tic-pac yawner instead of runway.
16:55It's yawner.
16:58Aha.
16:59On that note, we have another question from Marisa from Lincoln, Nebraska.
17:03Designers, what has been your favorite challenge this season?
17:07Weight loss.
17:08Kevin, why was your weight loss one the favorite?
17:10Those ladies were great.
17:12I mean transforming the whole clothing situation on their bodies, making them feel good.
17:16It was really, it was amazing.
17:18And Christian?
17:19I liked the avant-garde challenge.
17:22And I liked the last challenge a lot because it was so inspiring.
17:25Me too.
17:26Yeah.
17:27Well whether it was a fun challenge or a difficult challenge, the stress and pressure took its toll on one of you.
17:34And let's have a look.
17:37I'm an emotional person, yes, but I don't cry all that much.
17:41All right, so if you can kind of just tell me your full name and your age and where you currently live.
17:47Take a moment.
17:49I'm very emotional, but I can control it.
17:59I love the hair too and the makeup.
18:02Just tell me about hair and makeup.
18:04She was telling me what she liked and we went over to the, to the accessory wall and...
18:11What's up with you?
18:13This is like a roller coaster.
18:16You don't know where to go.
18:18You don't know if you suck, if you don't suck and...
18:21Next day out.
18:23I feel like I sucked.
18:25I just feel, I feel like, wow, I suck.
18:28I suck so bad.
18:30You really are pushing my buttons.
18:32I'm not trying, unfortunately.
18:34I know, but...
18:41I didn't know this was going to be so emotional.
18:44Sorry I cried.
18:51Okay, Ricky, Alexander from Cleveland, Ohio, has a very obvious question for you.
18:57Why do I cry so much?
18:59I'm not going to cry.
19:00If you really get TV though.
19:02This whole experience was really emotional for me.
19:04I was discovering who I was as a designer.
19:07You know, I didn't realize I was going to cry like a woman.
19:16At some point, I think all of us cried on the show.
19:19At the end of the day, I really don't care what people say.
19:22Because, you know, so what?
19:24I cry.
19:25I commend you, Ricky.
19:26I mean, it's nice to be able to show your emotions that easily.
19:28And I don't think there's anything negative about it.
19:30And I think it's, I see beauty in it.
19:32I just have to say though, I was so thrilled for you when you won.
19:34And you even turned that into a crying jag.
19:37We have another question via BravoTV.com and it comes from Lucas.
19:43Designers, are any of you upset about anything you saw or heard others say about you on the show?
19:50Yes.
19:51Yes.
19:52Yes.
19:53Yes.
19:54It was very hurtful after the challenge.
19:56I felt that I wasn't missed at all.
19:58Sweet Pea said, well, I'm just glad it wasn't me.
20:00And then the other comment was, the kid said, is even if she did finish the outfit just wasn't good enough.
20:05And that was very hard for me.
20:07Because it means a lot to me.
20:09What?
20:10You guys.
20:11Oh, it was not.
20:16You know, it was hard.
20:17It was hard.
20:18And you have to know that you were dearly missed and it was so hard to have a vacancy.
20:23I mean, especially for Jillian.
20:24And we didn't expect you to go that soon either.
20:26We were just like enjoying your presence.
20:29And that was the first like confusing thing to happen.
20:33Like we were all getting close and then all of a sudden you didn't come home with us that night.
20:37And I really missed you and I know that they missed you too.
20:40And they expressed that to me.
20:41I also think that we know the state of duress that we were all under.
20:44Yes.
20:45And so I give everyone like some license.
20:47I think it's fair to say that regardless of what was said, most of you had a very good sense of humor about it all and were able to laugh it off.
20:53And one of you was able to laugh it off.
20:56Well, let's look and see.
21:05Even mothers have to love ugly children.
21:07That is correct.
21:09Not my mother.
21:11One of the funniest people is Chris.
21:13He's got this laugh that's like this kind of like hyena cackle.
21:22I think he laughs a little loud on purpose.
21:24Sorry.
21:25It is cute if you hear it a couple of times, but if you hear it all day long.
21:43They start to get a little bit painful.
21:55Chris's laugh in general is out of control.
22:00Oops.
22:01Laugh us into the break.
22:10Really loud.
22:11Yes, you can.
22:17Coming up on Project Runway.
22:18There was one challenge that broke the poker faced veneers of our judges.
22:27Oh, okay.
22:28Who had the worst single design?
22:31Oh, ow.
22:32That's mean.
22:34Welcome back.
22:39Are you wondering what these two chairs are doing here?
22:44Yes.
22:46Please welcome Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.
22:49Yay.
22:53Good to see you guys.
22:57Hello.
22:58Hey guys.
22:59As you all know, Heidi and Nina and Michael have judged a lot of challenges over the last four seasons.
23:06But this season, there was one challenge that broke the poker faced veneers of our judges.
23:14Yay!
23:15Let's have a look.
23:16Oh my.
23:19We were all thinking, what are the judges going to say for this challenge?
23:24What is Nina Garcia going to say about a pink spandex outfit with rhinestones on it?
23:30When Ricky's model came out, she was very over the top.
23:34And at the end of her last post, she did like a super sexy move.
23:40Michael Kors just lost it.
23:47It was contagious.
23:48Like, I started laughing.
23:50And Michael Kors could just not stop.
23:52It was like a kid in church.
24:01It was like one too many ridiculous things in this kind of ridiculous runway show.
24:06Michael is losing it.
24:07I lost my mind.
24:11I'm trying to be self-poker.
24:17Okay.
24:19Is that all?
24:20The laughter, I think we all agree, was probably one of our classic moments being here.
24:38It was really unexpected to see Michael Kors crack like that.
24:43The whole thing I just thought was so hysterically funny. I don't know.
25:04It was a fun challenge though.
25:05Totally.
25:06But I've never cracked up.
25:08This is the first time.
25:10Oh.
25:12Well, while the judges had a difficult time with this challenge, you all sought inspiration from it and tapped into your own personal divas.
25:20And we're going to have a look at that.
25:21Oh.
25:26The WWE divas were pretty tough, but I think that the designers have a really good chance of winning in an old fashioned cat fight.
25:34My wrestling name is Ferocia Couture.
25:38My signature move is hairspray in the eyes and then I pull a really tight braided ponytail and make the girls bleed.
25:46My diva name would be Tuffy.
25:49My signature move would be a pirouette into a kick and I would kick someone right in the face.
25:53I would kick the out of all of those girls.
25:59If I was a wrestler, I'd have to be Wonder Woman.
26:02I suppose my signature move would have to be smothering people with my large breasts.
26:08I would be Romalicious.
26:11My signature move would include a draped piece of fabric that's wrapped around my arms where I confuse the person I'm fighting with to mislead them.
26:21And I run around them and kick them in the back and pin them to the ground.
26:25My wrestling name is Spread Eagle.
26:28My move is to get people in a headlock with my thighs and break their neck.
26:35If I was a wrestler, I'd probably call myself like the Mexican Jumping Bean.
26:39My signature move, it would be a little tour with a kick.
26:41Oh, that's crazy.
26:52Tim.
26:54What would your name be?
26:55Oh my god.
26:56A diva name?
26:57Yeah.
26:58Um, probably Polysyllabicus.
27:03Who do you think is the toughest judge?
27:05Heidi, this season you're pretty tough.
27:06You're pretty tough this season.
27:07So you guys think she's gotten tougher?
27:09Yeah.
27:10Look at her face.
27:12That's so weird.
27:13I don't know.
27:14I don't think of myself like that, but I just really say what I think.
27:17I think it corresponds to the level of talent.
27:19You all are so good that it's raised the whole level of conversation.
27:24I'm just glad that there's more bad cops this season.
27:26Someone came up to me and they're like, you're Mina Garzilla.
27:29And I was like, oh, that's your wrestling name.
27:33Yeah, that's the wrestling name.
27:36Maybe the reason that you guys think I am tough sometimes is because I try to judge you guys to what I am seeing out in the market.
27:46And that is my job.
27:47But ultimately, real fashion people, they understand that every designer is different and they want you to be your best.
27:55I was up there the most, I think.
27:57But all the information that was given, shown or not shown, it was worth it.
28:02Michael, we have a question for you.
28:03Sure.
28:04And it's from Victoria.
28:05She asks, Heidi introduces Michael as a top American designer, but I've never seen him wear anything but a plain black t-shirt, black blazer, and blue jeans.
28:16I can't even imagine how easy it must be to get ready in the morning.
28:20That's the point.
28:21You got the point.
28:22I mean, I have to say that you guys would absolutely die if you saw a picture of me at 18.
28:27I was the most trendy victimiest.
28:33You cannot even imagine 20 pairs of leg warmers, hair down to here, hats with jewels, wrap belts.
28:39I wore shawls, diaper pants.
28:42I did.
28:43You name it, man.
28:44I did it.
28:45Okay?
28:46And then when I started working, I was like, I don't want to think about what I'm wearing.
28:50You know, with one extra pair of pants, one white shirt, one black turtleneck, I could go to the White House and I could go to, like, a rave.
28:57But on the other side of the coin, I have to say, I would never give up the idea of being young and ridiculous in fashion.
29:05I loved it.
29:06So, you know, I say go for it, but that's why I stick to my guns.
29:10Excellent.
29:11Heidi?
29:12Yeah?
29:13We don't have a question for you, just some of your greatest hits.
29:15Uh-oh.
29:16Take a look.
29:18Uh-oh.
29:20As you know in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out.
29:24In this way, out that way.
29:25I think Heidi's great.
29:26She's very honest.
29:27It looked to me very home sewn.
29:28I was thinking Britney Spears.
29:29I'm like, okay, now we just need the denim hat.
29:31It looks schlumpy.
29:32You put too much on your plate.
29:33You were really hungry, shoved it all on there and couldn't eat it.
29:35Well, of course, my favorite judge has to be Heidi Klum, because she is German, like me.
29:42I don't tell you.
29:43I've been dangling the sausage in front of your noses all the time.
29:45Now it's going to fashion week.
29:46Who's going to eat the sausage?
29:47You're out.
29:48Christian, you're crazy.
29:49You are out.
29:50Bye.
29:51Bye.
29:52Bye.
29:53Bye.
29:54Bye.

30:36Bye.
30:37Bye.
30:38Bye.
30:39Bye.
30:40Bye.
30:41Bye.
30:42Welcome back to Project Runway, Season 4, Reunion.
30:49Each season on Project Runway, there are memorable looks, some good and some bad.
30:54We have a question from Martha via bravotv.com about the bad.
30:59She writes, judges, this season, who had the worst single design?
31:05Ooh, ouch.
31:07That's mean, ouch.
31:09I know, the hardest challenge.
31:10The hardest challenge was the men's challenge.
31:12Men's, hands down.
31:13That was...
31:14Hands down.
31:14Trying to make men's clothes look slick and professional in that much time, we weren't riveted to any of them, quite frankly.
31:22Yeah, we saw jackets with no shirts under.
31:25I mean, it was really thrown together.
31:27They were all very difficult.
31:33What about the best design or the best challenge?
31:36My favorite was the hair challenge.
31:38Yeah, mine too.
31:39First off, I think that the quality of work that came out was really...
31:43Best.
31:44...spectacular.
31:45And then, although I'm sure you guys were ready to slit your wrists when you heard that you had to do the second version, I thought that was the greatest thing in the world.
31:54Because it really showed, as a designer, how are you going to turn all of this into a business?
32:00And it was a great collaboration between Chris and Christian.
32:03I mean, they worked great together and it looked effortless.
32:07Which one do you guys think was the worst design?
32:10Maybe my wrestler challenge?
32:13Mine?
32:13I think that would be the worst.
32:16They're all like, yeah, you're right.
32:18Yay, you win.
32:20Next question is for Tim from Jen.
32:23In this season, the judges often seem to go in a different direction than you might.
32:27Do you ever make your opinions known to the judges outside of Tim's take?
32:32No, I don't.
32:34And I have to say, I know what happens in the workroom.
32:37I know where you've been and where you end up with each challenge.
32:40And I'm nothing if not encumbered by that, which is why I wouldn't be a good judge because I couldn't truly be objective the way that the three of you really can be.
32:47For as much as we would want to find out what's happening in the workroom, it's better that we don't know because we really are judging you without any information whatsoever.
33:00And now is your time to grill us.
33:03Questions for the judges.
33:06What do you guys write on the cards?
33:10Like, is there, like, a number system?
33:12We have a number system, yeah.
33:13The scores are from one to five, five being the highest score.
33:16I see, like, write, like, words, like, oh my God, are horrible or something.
33:20I write, like, my quick visceral, like, when it comes out, I'm like, it was blue, it was kind of fabulous, hate the skirt, whatever.
33:26It's just writing little notes about your immediate reaction.
33:31Designers, who among you feel that you were sent home before your time?
33:35Me.
33:35Jack?
33:36Chris?
33:37But you came back.
33:38Yeah, I came back.
33:40Marian, what about for you?
33:42Well, for me to be dealt a $15 challenge, which is not my forte, I do think I should have gone home because I didn't perform.
33:49But it was sort of sad because I am a little more on the avant-garde side.
33:53And I did want to show that, and I just didn't have the chance to do that.
33:59And this brings us to a question from Scott via bravotv.com, and he is asking, how could you have sent Kevin home in the prom challenge?
34:08This was the worst decision the judges have ever made.
34:12Wow.
34:12I thought she just looked older.
34:14Matronly.
34:15Yeah.
34:15The entire thing did not work.
34:17Your styling issues.
34:18Fit issues.
34:19Fit issues.
34:20Color.
34:21I mean, we're back here again.
34:23Jesus Christ.
34:24Yeah.
34:25She was like 15 going on 59.
34:27Yeah.
34:28My whole prom challenge was almost like everyone was like off their game.
34:31And I'm like, sh**, I couldn't have squeaked by on this one.
34:34What's your next question over there?
34:36My next question was actually to Christian, because did you think that you were going in that moment too?
34:40Uh, yeah.
34:43It was really ugly.
34:45What do you think, Kevin?
34:46Do you think that he should have gone instead?
34:48I was looking at it like, this kid's way too good.
34:51He's got so much more to show.
34:52If you guys had asked me in that moment whether it should have been him or I, I would have said, I'll go.
34:57Because, I mean, I want to see what he's capable of.
35:00That is nice.
35:01Love you.
35:01No, I'm serious.
35:02My whole thing was, yes, I mean, I probably wouldn't have wanted to go home, but I had a really tough situation.
35:09I actually would have loved to have his model, you know, because she was cooperative and friendly and fabulous and my girl wasn't.
35:16I've got to tell you, between the two of them, I at least felt that you had put a lot of work in it.
35:22And yours, the work wasn't there.
35:24No, definitely.
35:25Rami, do you have some advice to future Project Runway designers?
35:29I would say to anybody who's considering doing the show, it's not as easy as you think.
35:35But I think one thing for sure, it's not just to be seen.
35:39I really think you really need to love what you do and have a passion for what you do.
35:43Can I add, though, that it's in addition to the work that you produce and how that's judged and evaluated, it's also your qualities of character are being judged and evaluated in terms of how you handle situations.
35:53I think for probably all of us, it's a difference of being who we are on television and then going out in the real world and being who we are for real.
36:03What does that mean?
36:03What we do here doesn't necessarily apply to who we are and what we do in the real world.
36:08Did the rest of you feel the same thing, like you weren't being real on the show?
36:12We are being ourselves, but it's under a different environment.
36:15It's under different constraints.
36:17You are putting all these creative people together.
36:19You're putting them in a petri dish.
36:21They're isolated.
36:22They're working under unusual circumstances.
36:24And then they're asked to produce amazing things.
36:26And that's something that I think that people coming into the show need to be prepared for.
36:31People who haven't gone through the process, they have no idea.
36:35This is just showtime times a thousand.
36:38Unfortunately, we don't have much time left anymore, but we have to unveil the winner of our fan-favorite competition sponsored by bluefly.com.
36:47And the winner by a landslide is...
36:50Do you know who it is, Tim?
36:53Yes.
36:54Who is it, then?
36:54It is...
36:57Christian.
37:00Really?
37:03Congratulations.
37:04That is crazy.
37:08You won $10,000.
37:11$10,000.
37:12And we have a special guest to bring out your check.
37:15Ooh, who is it?
37:19Oh, my God.
37:22It's Michael Knight.
37:23Oh, my God.
37:26Hello.
37:30Hi.
37:31Michael's passing the baton.
37:32Hi.
37:33Because you won the $10,000 last year.
37:35Congratulations.
37:36Thank you very much.
37:37Yes.
37:38We were just talking about how you need money.
37:39I know.
37:40I'm so poor.
37:41Right?
37:42Thrilling.
37:43We're going to share it.
37:44All right.
37:45Cocktails for everyone.
37:46Well, not everyone.
37:47Up in here.
37:48Michael, what did you do with your $10,000?
37:51I actually just invested it into my business.
37:55I'm actually in the process of releasing my very first fragrance.
37:59Awesome.
38:00Congratulations.
38:01Good for you.
38:02Oh, do you smell?
38:03I'm wearing it now.
38:04That's so good.
38:05I was like, ooh.
38:06Michael Knight.
38:07Yeah.
38:08And I would have to agree that you are fierce, and we're going to see why.
38:14Oh.
38:15I'm kind of a big deal because I'm kind of fierce, and I'm kind of a celebrity in my own head.
38:25I'm like kind of a celebrity.
38:27I'm a really big deal, and I'm like almost a legend.
38:30Do you think my hair looks fine?
38:33I love a crazy hairstyle because I can't picture myself with anything else.
38:38I wash my hair every morning, and I have to blow it dry.
38:43I flat iron the entire flawlessness, and I create this little, like, shape.
38:50You know, this is party, and this is business, and this is the moneymaker, so that's how
38:54it works.
38:55My hair actually is looking fierce today.
38:57It was fierce.
38:58Oh, God.
38:59It was pretty fierce.
39:01How many times do I say fierce in one day?
39:04It's going to be fierce.
39:05Fierce.
39:06Fierce.
39:07Fierce.
39:08Really fierce.
39:09More fierce.
39:10Fierce.
39:11Fierce, fabulous, and flawless.
39:12All of the above.
39:13Oh, God.
39:14Even Tim is starting to use it as a descriptive word.
39:17I think it's fierce.
39:18It's fierce.
39:19It really is, Tim.
39:20It's so fierce.
39:21To hear the word fierce one more time.
39:25So fierce.
39:27That squeaky little voice could just be like nails on a chalkboard.
39:31That's fierce.
39:32Oh, God.
39:33I'm not saying it one more time on the entire show.
39:34I would like to thank Nina Garcia for coming, also Michael Kors, and you Michael Knight.
39:49Stay tuned, because when we come back, we're going to discuss which one of these four designers
39:53have what it takes to win Project Runway.
39:58Coming up on Project Runway.
39:59I would like to hear your prediction who you think will be the winner of Project Runway.
40:03The last four are all incredibly talented people.
40:06It's really anyone's game at this point.
40:12Welcome back.
40:13So now that we are without our final four, I would like to hear your prediction who you
40:18think will be the winner of Project Runway.
40:20I'll say Rami.
40:21I just think he'll come up with something that's a little ready to wear, and also his experience
40:27I think will help him.
40:28I think it's really anyone's game at this point.
40:31You know, of course, Christian has a lot of new and fresh ideas, and yet at the same time
40:36you've also got Jillian who also puts just delightful little pieces out there consistently.
40:41Carmen, what do you think?
40:43I love Christian and I love Jillian.
40:44I love them both.
40:45But I just think that America would be a little more ready for what Rami would have to present.
40:49I think that the last four are all incredibly talented people.
40:53You have Jillian who, just as Steven said, does these delightful, very sort of, I could wear that.
40:58I mean, if I'm thinking I can wear Jillian, then I think that's a really great leap.
41:02And then what Chris did from the first challenge to what he's done, so it's going to be really hard for you guys to decide.
41:08Kit, I also am most excited to see Jillian.
41:12She always has a new surprise every challenge, and she grows.
41:16I agree.
41:17I think she's going to be exciting.
41:18Victoria, what do you think?
41:19Christian.
41:20Why?
41:21I think I believe most in his talent.
41:23I think he is the one designer with the most talent.
41:25Kevin?
41:26Christian or Jillian.
41:29Marion, what are your thoughts?
41:31I believe it's going to be Rami.
41:32I think he is going to do something different than what he's done in the past, but also incorporate what he does now.
41:39Jack, who do you think will win?
41:41I mean, for me, it's like Rami's known as a great technician, and obviously we've seen that Chris Marsh can do amazing things.
41:47You can see from his portfolio, he's got this crazy talent. You never know. It's anyone's game.
41:52Well, Heidi, I don't envy you and Michael and Nina and our guest judge, because having seen the collections, I wouldn't want to have to judge them.
41:59I can't wait. I know it's going to be very, very hard, but honestly, I cannot wait.
42:02It's been such a long time, and it's been so amazing.
42:05But we'll find out who will be out and who will be the winner of Project Runway.
42:10And until then, auf Wiedersehen.
42:13Next, on Project Runway.
42:20For your next challenge, you'll be creating a collection of 12 looks for Fashion Week.
42:26All I can see is winning.
42:31I just feel like I want you to pull it back a bit.
42:34So here's the most probably provocative thing that I have going on in my collection.
42:39My gag reflex is kicking in.
42:43Are you going to be nice to me?
42:46Are you going to be nice to me?
42:47Christian is really arrogant, and if someone pisses me off, I'm going to let them know.
42:53Rami and Chris, as you know, only one of you will be moving forward.
42:57Sorry, I just feel like I'm all over the place.
43:00I'm hoping for the best.
43:01But I really don't know.
43:03It's great on you.
43:04The whole idea of actually making it to Bryant Park is like, could this really happen?
43:10Who is this woman that you're dressing?
43:12The dress at the end, it's really unflattering.
43:17Chris, Rami, one of you will be out.
