00:00This is Project Runway.
00:10My name is Jerrell Scott. I am from Los Angeles, California, and I'm 28 years old.
00:15I originally started modeling when I was 18, and I moved to New York, and I couldn't afford the cool clothes. Had to make the cool clothes and sell.
00:22What I do now is design one-of-a-kind custom pieces for a very select group of people, from celebrities to Saudi royalty.
00:29I know what I'm capable of, and it's time for me to take it to the next level.
00:33Oh, these other designers, I'm so sorry, but you're gonna have to go home one by one.
00:39What's your name?
00:40Blaine. Blaine Jerrell.
00:42My name is Blaine Walsh. I've been a fashion designer for six years.
00:46Eventually, it will pay the bills.
00:49What's up, Paula?
00:50But right now, I work at a coffee shop.
00:53I love urban wear, like street gear, like that's my passion.
00:57I have a ridiculous obsession with tanning, so whoever I need to talk to, squeeze that in.
01:05Hey.
01:06Hey, how are you doing?
01:07How are you? I'm Blaine.
01:08Joe.
01:09Joe, nice to meet you.
01:10Where are you from?
01:11Seattle.
01:12Okay. What about you?
01:13Detroit.
01:14Detroit?
01:15My name is Stella Zotis.
01:17Rock stars come to me for a look.
01:20I build and design custom rock regalia for blondies, Sebastian Bach, hookers, or pimps, or whoever is tough enough to wear it.
01:29Being here is an excellent chance for me to step outside of leather and denim. This will be my opportunity.
01:36Hi.
01:37I'm Jennifer.
01:38Hi, Jennifer.
01:39I'm Stella.
01:40I'm Jennifer Dietrich, and I'm living in a small town near Florence, Italy.
01:46My style is kind of a surreal style.
01:49I like to call it Holly Golightly Goes to Salvador Dali Exhibit.
01:55I hope I don't get eliminated right away.
01:57I think that's on everyone's mind.
02:01Hey.
02:02Hello, I'm Kelly.
02:03Hi, Kelly.
02:04Hi, Jennifer.
02:05Nice to see you.
02:06What's up?
02:07I'm Stella.
02:08Nice to meet you.
02:09I always say if Vivian Westwood and Betsy Johnson had a baby, that would be me.
02:11I started my own store, Black Market, in Columbus, Ohio.
02:14I just cranked stuff out to try and make a living.
02:17And it's difficult, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
02:22Hi.
02:23Hi, I'm Terry.
02:24Hi, Terry.
02:25What's up, girl?
02:29My name is Jerry Tam.
02:30I'm actually doing very well as a designer with my own company.
02:35Hi, Project Runway.
02:36Welcome to Farm.
02:37I'm on the forefront of being a big name in the industry, but having this platform to show
02:45my designs is a dream come true.
02:51Hey, what's up?
02:52Hey.
02:53How's it going?
02:54Good.
02:55I'm Suede.
02:56I'm Jerry.
02:57I'm Suede.
02:58I'm 37, and I'm from New York City.
02:59I've designed for polo jeans, Todd Oldham jeans, Jordache.
03:02With each challenge, I'm going to snip out the competition.
03:06I got tired of making millions for the rest of the world and decided Suede needed to make
03:11millions for Suede.
03:12So I'm here to go to that next step, and Suede is going to rock it.
03:16Yeah!
03:17Hey.
03:18I'm Suede.
03:19Suede, Keith, buddy.
03:20Nice to meet you, man.
03:21My name is Kato Momolu Briggs.
03:24I'm originally from Liberia, West Africa, and I currently live in Little Rock, Arkansas.
03:30In Little Rock, I've been in every magazine, but I'm actually trying to get into the real
03:34scene, which is in New York.
03:36So I'm going to be the second woman that's won and the first African American.
03:40Hi.
03:41Hello.
03:42My name's Ken Lee.
03:43I'm Kato.
03:44Nice to meet you.
03:45Nice to meet you.
03:46I'm Leanne.
03:47Kato.
03:48Nice to meet you.
03:49I started my clothing line, Lee Animal, a few years ago.
03:52I'm coming from way out of left field in Portland, Oregon.
03:55So I think the other designers are going to underestimate me.
03:59I am the silent fashion assassin.
04:03Hi, Rumi.
04:04Hi.
04:05Hi.
04:06What's your name?
04:07I'm Emily.
04:08Emily Ann.
04:09Hi.
04:10Nice to meet you.
04:11Nice to meet you.
04:12Yay.
04:13Daniel, nice to meet you.
04:15Welcome.
04:16Come on in.
04:20Hey, what's up?
04:21I'm Blaine.
04:22Leslie.
04:23I spent just about a year at Marc Jacobs, and it was an incredible opportunity.
04:27I feel very secure with myself, being young and being in this industry, and my clothes
04:33are divine.
04:34Very comfortable.
04:35It's like my daughter's bed.
04:36It's on the floor.
04:37You have kids?
04:38Two girls.
04:39Five and nine.
04:40My main motivation is to show my daughters that you can do exactly what you want.
04:46Just be who you are and go for it.
04:50Project runaway.
04:51Welcome to your new home.
04:52Please settle in and meet us on the roof.
04:55It's time to get started.
04:56Love, Heidi, and Tim.
04:58Wow.
04:59Wow.
05:00The sun you own.
05:01I'm not sure what's going to happen on the rooftop.
05:03Is this going to be our first challenge already?
05:06Dun dun dun dun.
05:07Here they come.
05:28Welcome, everyone.
05:29We're on the rooftop of Atlas, New York, Gotham City's luxury apartment building, and this
05:34will be your new home.
05:36Woo!
05:37Yeah!
05:38And you all know Tim Dunn, chief creative officer of Liz Claiborne, and he will be your
05:44mentor while you're here.
05:45Indeed, I will.
05:46Woo!
05:47Yes, yes!
05:48Welcome, everyone.
05:50I want to be the first to say that you may be the most diverse group of designers we've
05:55ever had on Project Runway.
05:57The one thing all 16 of you share is the talent and skills to win this competition.
06:02Yeah!
06:03Woo!
06:04So knock our socks off.
06:06So, Tim, do you think they're ready for the first challenge?
06:10I don't know.
06:11Are you?
06:12Yeah!
06:13Really?
06:14Yeah!
06:15Ha!
06:16Too bad.
06:17Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait until tomorrow morning.
06:21Right now, let's pop some champagne bottles.
06:24Let's do it!
06:25Yes!
06:26Woo!
06:27Woo!
06:28Woo!
06:29Woo!
06:30Woo!
06:31Woo!
06:32Woo!
06:33Woo!
06:34Hey, I'm Swade.
06:35Jennifer.
06:36Nice to meet you.
06:37Jerry.
06:38Jerry, I'm Stella.
06:39It's a pleasure to meet you, Stella.
06:40Nice to meet you.
06:41How does this whole experience feel to you?
06:43Exactly right.
06:44Good!
06:45Currently, I do smoke and mirrors clothing.
06:48We're just a tiny little fledgling company right now, and I came here to do a job.
06:53And I'm going to do it.
06:54And what is your style?
06:55My style is like if Aerosmith was to meet Lauryn Hill and Michael Jackson, that's what
07:00you will see.
07:01I think the thing that will set me apart from the other designers is the fact that I am
07:05really fast, and I can make a three-piece suit in like an eight-hour period.
07:10And what is your style?
07:11It's kind of urban, a little bit raw, but I, you know, I design for you all the time.
07:16And I'm like, if I would wear it, then it's acceptable.
07:19But if not, it's garbage.
07:20Good.
07:21I keep that in mind.
07:23I'm a completely self-taught designer.
07:25I have a gift that many aspire to go through school to have, and I was just born with it.
07:30You go to the sanding bed a lot, don't you?
07:33I know.
07:34Look how I'm so happy and so tan.
07:36I know.
07:37Wow.
07:38Your eyes, your blue eyes really stand out with that sand.
07:40My name is Kenley Collins, and I'm 25 years old.
07:43My aesthetic is loud because I mix prints, I mix plaids, and I can't wait to show the world what I can do.
07:51My name is Daniel Feld, and I am from Brooklyn, New York.
07:56Here with my little buddies over here.
07:58If I wasn't a fashion designer, I would have been a zoologist.
08:01I draw a lot of inspiration from nature, and my looks are always glamorous and sexy, and really are always showstoppers.
08:09The Project Runway season five!
08:10Yeah!
08:11Cheers!
08:12Cheers!
08:13Cheers!
08:14Here you go.
08:15Good morning!
08:16How are you?
08:17Good morning.
08:18How are you?
08:19Good morning.
08:20I need you to rally everybody.
08:24I need you to rally everybody need to get dressed meet me in the lobby and you'll learn about your
08:42first challenge all right meet me in the lobby okay we're gonna learn about the today's challenge hi
08:52everybody good morning surprise I was embarrassed to be sitting in a towel next to the same gun and I
09:02didn't brush my teeth which I regret thank you as soon as the door closes mayhem girls are flying
09:22I have no idea where we're going maybe to an amusement park a zoo it's so surreal I've been
09:36watching other designers do it for four seasons and now I'm walking down the street with Tim and
09:41this is the first challenge and it means everything all right designers we're gonna line up right over
09:46here designers this is the destination of your first challenge oh my god as you can see we've
09:59come full circle I saw the gristides challenge I'm season one and I never really thought about what
10:07would I do if I had to go to the grocery store so now that I know I have to do it yikes our first
10:13project runway challenge ever was that a gristides and I've invited a special guest to help me fill
10:19you in on the details when I see Austin I think total glamour out of any project runway contestant he
10:39was by far my favorite I want you to welcome season one designer Austin Scarlett who will be your guest
10:44judge for this challenge well if you haven't guessed it already you will be purchasing items to this
10:49wonderful grocery store to create a design of your choice on that very first season I won this challenge
10:56with a little dress all made of corn husk that little dress made a big impact on my life and helped
11:03launch my career innovation was the key to my success and so it shall be yours this challenge presents a
11:10phenomenal creative opportunity for you Austin do you have the envelopes I do Tim here we go good luck so
11:21you will have a budget of $75 and half an hour to make your purchases when we return to Parsons you will
11:28have until midnight tonight to complete your look all right designers your half hour begins now I chatted I
11:40didn't care if I got hit by a car I was gonna be the first one in I had my whole look mapped out in my
11:49head I wanted to go with a April shower spring May flowers look so I'm using the shower curtain to make a
11:56rain jacket okay thank you I go into Christina's with a purpose my strategy mop heads mop heads mop heads
12:06I'm not gonna use any life produce I'm a mommy so I know a supermarket when I see one I have three bell
12:15peppers and then I have all this kale I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the kale but that's gonna
12:20actually be my wow factor don't worry Tim I'll make you proud trash bags because there's nothing like a
12:38trash bag I'm gonna make what I do I'm gonna make a pair of pants and kind of a vest mainly out of garbage bags
12:50I definitely definitely definitely did not want to get any kind of tablecloth or anything that
12:56resembled fabric that was too easy Kelly you have five minutes okay I'm ready
13:01I can't wait to get back to the workroom and start working on it I say bring it on I'm ready
13:25coming up on project runway you guys are a bunch of slackers holy cow
13:33she's 2008 we all walk into the famous Parsons where everything happens and I can't wait to get started
13:55this is a nice fit this is a challenge about innovation I'm totally nervous to get all these
14:07grocery store items on this garment whack-a-doodle designers welcome to Parsons the new school for
14:15design thanks we're thrilled to have you here on your table you will find a card with information
14:22about the model we've assigned you remember that you have until midnight tonight to complete this
14:27challenge and the winner of this challenge will have immunity for the next challenge and cannot be
14:33eliminated awesome all right make it work thank you thank you to fusilli or not to fusilli my theme is
14:46gonna be Italian I'm making a tomato hot plate spaghetti fusilli dress so who's still doing what they
14:54were doing from the supermarket I think I got it gone maybe if it works the first thing I started
15:03doing was testing the bleach and the dye on the vacuum cleaner bags what I'm making this kind of a
15:10garden dress it has kind of a gritty print we're almost like a marble it's gonna be a pretty ugly dress
15:15for sure pretty ugly in a great way all right I am making a sweetheart cocktail dress using my plastic cups this one melted too
15:31much I'm ironing it down so the plastic begins to be moldable from the heat then I take the glue gun and
15:41begin to layer it on top of the muslin cloth oh no it started melting the fun has arrived
15:49I'm gonna work it out she's girl-licious I'm not quite sure what Blaine's trying to sell with all his
15:57licious this licious that I'll let your girl-licious but I wish he'd put it back in this case close it up
16:02and take it to the girl next door titillate the judges girls and boys titillate yeah I'm just like Tim
16:16don't come and see what I have so far I noticed that a lot of other people have tablecloths this makes
16:25me a little bit nervous because I wanted to be different I am so competitive I'm here to win
16:32this okay I'm gonna pop this as a designer I always wanted to be taken serious I saw that people are
16:44just putting crap on top of crap you know paper bags on top of coffee filters and balloons or balls
16:51and produce that's all the stuff I just throw away in the trash one of my fabrics was trash bags because
17:10it could have been like black patent leather pants and when I opened them up they're too loud and too
17:16thin and they even break to the touch you stress them yeah because my fabric is trash I don't have
17:23product to make my stuff with so the aesthetic of the entire idea you might turn out garbage
17:32hopefully the next challenge isn't that grustides wouldn't that be great for the second challenge
17:48designers we came back to grustides and we're gonna do it again make it work
17:53how are you Blaine hey Tim I'd like to introduce you to girlicious girlicious mm-hmm all right I
18:15didn't want to make just another dress and you haven't so I'm not bored you know I wanted to kind
18:21of make it a little bit more crazy and a bit obnoxious for them to be like okay and there
18:26would be those who respond well and those who don't and that's what happens when you go out on a
18:29living you take some risks I'll let your boy Tim all right thank you Blaine thanks Tim how are you
18:37Daniel I'm good this is the cup dress it is indeed a cup dress talk to me well it's been a little bit
18:45hard to work with I've been having to iron it down and really just to mold it thank you very much you
18:50just have a lot of work to do you know you have a wow factor going on yes all right thank you Daniel
18:55thank you Kelly talk to me what is this this is vacuum cleaner bags with bleach and dye I thought you
19:04bought marbleized paper honestly thank you that's very nice this is fabulous this looks unfinished right
19:09right think this through I have complete confidence in there to do that all right wow still how are you
19:18doing Tim I have a dilemma I picked a garbage bag and look hi I really don't have fabric those judges don't
19:29want to see a black garbage bag walk down that runway I lost a lot of time make it work I'm gonna
19:36try all right suede so my materials are a picnic cloth and these are doggy bags I think I question
19:47whether this belt is correct for the stress but then I just worry that it's just a tap table yeah you
19:54should worry that it's just a tablecloth I think think think okay yes talk to me got a tablecloth so
20:06I decided to play on it with the trimmings and the sleeves I see a whole lot of tablecloth you need
20:13big impact I was gonna use this on the neckline like jewel because I got sherry tomatoes all right
20:20that's where you need to have the giant oh my god I can't believe she did that with those things
20:24right now this is just a paper dress and we've seen plenty of them all right thank you Jerry what
20:32are you up to good news is it's a shower curtain bad news is it's a tablecloth well shower curtain
20:40tablecloth same thing put them in the same category I wish I was a little bit more innovative with
20:44what they had to offer you definitely need a wow factor okay go to work go to work Jerry sounds
20:50good Keith how you doing good well I know what this is I didn't realize how much of this material was
20:59in this room I just have to say everybody I'm seeing a lot of tablecloths around here the reason
21:05he took you to prestidies was to use materials that were untraditional and unexpected and a tablecloth
21:13that is a form of fabric I just think the judges are gonna say you guys are a bunch of slackers you've
21:20got to get these things to go beyond what they actually are I suggest you keep this from looking
21:26so much like a picnic tablecloth all right buddy innovate thanks man I was nervous to say the least
21:35I didn't realize that so many people would go after the same thing you have until midnight tonight make
21:41it work I just don't know what to do tough thing holy cow people are freaking out and I'm thinking okay
21:51focus Wade what is it you're gonna do he sat there and read everybody in the room yeah oh my god I was
22:00scared for everybody you've got a head start on the rest of us because you didn't use a tablecloth
22:06my heart just sunk into my chest the biggest fear is losing losing out on the first round I don't even
22:14want to think about it coming up on the project runway it is time it's not a good feeling my veggies
22:24I'm changing it and I'm adding more knitting but what I'm adding squares to mine yeah so Tim is over
22:37the fact that we all use tablecloth so now I have to rethink everything I just wanted to cover up as
22:50much of this tablecloth as I could and make it look like it was made of candy entirely are you on time I'm
22:59making a hole underneath piece too I was just going to do a raincoat but then I ended up doing a summer
23:06dress just to bring out some color some flair and the wow factor I love your little sweater by the
23:11way oh thank you when you need you run out of something get a mop holla at your boy I'm the first
23:19one to finish my garment and I feel great like I said I was gonna dominate and I am I'm eliminated
23:26I'm not a fool I know what I'm talking about I really feel like I should I'm gonna make a fool of
23:33myself you're like one of the 16 people here you better start draping trash bags around the body
23:38board and duct taping just do whatever you gotta do and sell it on the runway you can do it you can do it
23:46guys I have to come up with a plan B because I don't know what I'm doing I'm gonna get sent
23:54home I'm very worried if I'm the first eliminated designer I'll be the biggest jackass of the nation
24:08you guys ready to meet Nina and Michael Michael I can handle oh is it Nina yeah I just feel I just
24:26don't want to look at me in like actual disgust like are you kidding me are you guys nervous about
24:33today a little bit because of all the tablecloth conversation I'm starting the car just like I
24:48left it that's all I'm doing the whole thing and I'm set and then I'm gonna drape this collar on her
24:53and cover her boobs off of it and that's it there you go as I started piecing it all together I started
24:58realizing it might actually be an alright dress but I'm still very worried I'm gonna get eliminated
25:05good morning designers hi Tim it is a big day it is your first runway show you will have an hour to
25:15send your model to the Theresa May hair salon in the L'Oreal Paris makeup room borrowed generously from
25:20the bluefly.com accessory wall I'm going to be sending in your models right now okay
25:25my garment on Paulina it's a little snug because she has more curves than I knew about so I have to
25:54hand stitch the Croft area and I'll try my best not to pop you that's so American Psycho and scary
26:01Jerry's garment looks like he created something for an axe murderer with the white boots and the gloves
26:10I'm not sure how the judges are gonna look at that you want to wear these groovy boots
26:15a little tight and then take it like fresh and young and cute I'm freaking out like
26:23delicious it's perfect
26:32designers can I have your attention you have five minutes before we have to go down to the runway okay
26:40thank you I just kind of pray that the tomatoes would all stay in place because if it doesn't I'm going home
26:59designers models it is time follow me we're going down to the runway
27:06this is the first runway show and it makes you want to vomit all over the place just anticipating
27:13what's going to happen to you seriously it's not a good feeling
27:17you ready okay that's it coming up on project runway I am not impressed do I think it's pretty no
27:27hello welcome to the runway as you know in fashion one day you're in and the next day you're out there's

27:58and a hundred thousand dollars to start their own line furnished by Tresemme professional hair care
28:05your first challenge was about innovation we asked you to design a look for materials purchased at a grocery store
28:13let's meet the judges first we have top American designer Michael Kors
28:20hey guys welcome next we have Nina Garcia editor-at-large for L magazine nice to meet you guys
28:27and the winner of this challenge from season one and creative director of Kenneth Poole Austin Scarlett
28:34hi we will score your designs as they come down the runway one of you will be named the winner and one
28:41of you will be out let's start the show
28:49I was happy with making some of the detailing out of the bouncy ball and the balloons I thought it was
28:56forward yet wearable at the same time
29:03I use the lawn chair and paper umbrellas it had great movement to it she looked amazing I know it's hot
29:13I wish that I hadn't used the tablecloth but I'm really happy that I decided to use the candy and the cookies
29:22she looks delicious my garment looks beautiful that's it that paper tablecloth beyond what it was
29:32I'm happy the vegetables didn't fall apart I was completely happy with it and it actually looks
29:41pretty well sewn for paper towels all my fears I think just went away
29:47I'm the only designers I've used all plastic cups I look at Nina's face and see that she's cracking up a bit
30:00I hope that's a good thing I was blown away by my crocheted couture mop top I took something that people use everyday
30:10and use it in a completely different way I've used the tablecloth and dog baggies as trim
30:20my dress is really beautiful but I don't know if the judges will be impressed with it
30:25I took some ugly cheap ass garbage bags and made this dress at least it looks like something that's along the lines of what I do
30:39I use pasta on the skirt and they're really great oven mitt as my bodice I definitely did something innovative
30:52I feel really confident it's made out of dodgeball and lawn chair and I pulled it off I think that the judges are gonna like it
31:08I completed a fully lined fully finished raincoat made out of table linens and a shower curtain
31:21I'm very happy with my final outfit I really went to town on this project
31:25I ended up using the yellow tablecloth yellow cups and fly swatters
31:31I think the judges are gonna be really impressed because they're gonna have to look twice to figure out what everything is on my garment
31:40She looks amazing walking down the runway
31:42I used neon jump ropes drawer linings and windshield wipers
31:48I'm thinking I'm gonna win this
31:51I made a kind of a gritty print with the bleach and the dye on the vacuum cleaner bags
31:58and the whole midriff was gold push pins
32:03I was happy with it definitely
32:05I am so excited with how it turned out
32:11I've added some extra netting to just take it even further away from looking like a tablecloth
32:16I feel like I have the sexiest outfit out there
32:18We've scored your designs
32:23Will the following designers please step forward?
32:25Daniel
32:27Jerry
32:30Kato
32:33Stella
32:35Kelly
32:38Blaine
32:40If I have not called your name congratulations
32:45Your scores have qualified you to move on to the next challenge
32:49You can leave the runway
32:51Thank you
33:00The six remaining designers have the highest and the lowest scores
33:03One of you will be named the winner
33:05And one of you will be out
33:10Let's bring out your models
33:20Daniel tell us a little bit about your design
33:22My design is a cocktail dress and it's made from plastic cups
33:27I think it stood out from all the others because it really felt like you took a material that wasn't a fabric substitute
33:34and did something just unique with it
33:36I really like the sculptural form
33:40I like the fact that you took a chance
33:42I like this
33:43I think you could have gone further with the silhouette
33:46But I think it's a very creative smart use of a material in an unexpected way
33:53Thank you
33:54Very much
33:55Jerry
33:56In Housewares I picked up a shower curtain with these amazing curtain hooks that I used as fasteners
34:02And then I also pulled out strips of gauze and I created the little mini summer dress
34:07I mean honestly she turned the corner and I was like
34:11She like a bridal nurse
34:13Just the visual of it is just
34:15It's freaky
34:17And the dress underneath just looks like a handy wipe gone wrong
34:23Who is wearing this and where are they going?
34:25Out on a night on the town
34:27A night out in the town
34:29After she left the hospital
34:31The club is a big hospital plumber
34:35In terms of shape I don't see any innovation
34:39In terms of color I don't see it
34:41I just felt like you could have stepped it up a bit
34:45It doesn't strike me as being that creative
34:49I don't see it
34:51Kato tell us a little bit about your design
34:54In my design I used a paper tablecloth
34:57I did want to do something that was different
34:59The tomatoes I cut them open to make it look like it was like different brooches kind of stuck on there
35:04I just wanted to do something pretty
35:06And something that you could actually wear somewhere out one night
35:10Overall I thought your design was very chic
35:12And you actually used something alive
35:14A fresh grocery product
35:17Very, very nice job with that
35:19I do appreciate very much the fact that it looks impeccably done
35:24Thank you
35:25It's the right girl in the right dress
35:28Style the right way
35:30She's got a great look
35:35Stella, tell us about your outfit
35:36I just unrolled a whole roll of garbage bag
35:41And I draped it all around
35:43And then I just started sewing it
35:45That's what I did
35:46I just sewed the whole thing by hand
35:48Well, there's no transformation
35:49I mean she turned the corner and she's in garbage bags
35:52The dress is just
35:53It's a yawn
35:54I would have liked to have seen
35:55Maybe you tried the stitching with an actual material
35:58Maybe you could have like slashed the plastic itself and stitched it that way
36:01Or done something a little more interesting than the thread
36:05I have to say
36:07I have to say I am not impressed
36:09To me it looks like I just did something because I had to do something
36:15Kelly Kelly tell us about your design
36:17I made it out of vacuum cleaner bags that I bleached and dyed
36:22I burnt coffee filters for the bust part
36:26And in the back I made hook and eyes for a closure out of the spiral of a notebook
36:32I like the way you think
36:34It shows me that you are resourceful
36:36I think it's great
36:37When you look in closely you see all the detail and all the different techniques that went into making this one dress
36:44You pushed the envelope and made something that I think that girls are going to want to wear
36:49Thank you very much
36:51And last but not least
36:53Blaine
36:54What is this?
36:55This is girl-licious
36:57Everything is made out of cupboard linings and jump rope
37:01The last thing I wanted to do is send down something that would bore you
37:05Oh, it's definitely not boring
37:07It's a little bit bunny-ish
37:09Playboy bunny gone grunge
37:11My first impression was the diaper thing was a bit jarring
37:15I just felt it made it look a little cheap
37:17When she first turned the corner I was like, oh my god
37:19We're having the wrestling challenge
37:21Oh no
37:22I mean, it's provocative
37:23Do I think it's pretty?
37:24No
37:25Okay, we've heard what you had to say
37:28We're going to have a little chat
37:30And then I'm going to call you back
37:32You can leave the runway, thank you
37:34So, which ones did you love?
37:47Kelly's design
37:49The dyeing was gorgeous
37:51Not only was it creative, it was actually pretty
37:54She took something and she added an artistic technique
37:57And put so much work and thought into every little detail
38:00She found a possibility in everything
38:05Danielle did the dress with the cups
38:07I mean, just the material you would never ever think of
38:10That would create a dress
38:12And it was sexy
38:14Why out of anything in the store?
38:15Why the cups?
38:16Let me run to those plastic cups
38:18He had that bravado and that confidence
38:20I think that that is something that you cannot learn
38:23You either have it or you don't
38:27Let's go to Kato
38:28I give her low marks for resorting to the tablecloth
38:32But I give her high marks for the overall visual impact
38:37Of how her girl looked
38:39She was the one designer who chose some fresh produce out of them all
38:44She has good taste
38:46Yeah
38:47I could see that
38:50Let's move on to the ones that we didn't like
38:52Stella
38:53She's coming from this sort of punky point of view
38:56And that was there
38:57It was just maybe not the best luck on that challenge
39:00I mean, that was just butt ugly
39:02That was horrible
39:03Doesn't make me curious
39:04No
39:07Jerry
39:08I saw something that looked strange
39:12Then it had this weird Batman thing going on
39:15My son would have loved it
39:16You know
39:17Running around the house
39:18Woo!
39:19It looked like something you'd wear
39:20If you were going to be in a slasher movie
39:22What you would wear
39:23Killing someone
39:24Killing someone
39:25Ah!
39:29Let's talk about Blaine for a second
39:31Let's be honest
39:32It did look like she had an old diaper
39:34Pushed in between her legs
39:36I understand he wants to be edgy
39:38But was it really executed?
39:39When it first came out
39:41I wrote hideous on my card
39:43So we've made our decision?
39:45I think we have
39:46Let's bring them back out
39:47The six of you represent the best
40:00And the worst
40:01One of you will be named the winner
40:03And one of you will be out
40:06One of you will be named the winner
