00:00Former winners Australia head into the new World Test Championship cycle as favourites against home team West Indies.
00:07The three Test matches take place in Barbados, Grenada and Jamaica, with the Sabina Park match being a day-night contest.
00:15The West Indies are without Kemar Roach and Aussie skipper Pat Cummins finds it hard to decipher what the Caribbean squad has in store.
00:24I think, in some ways, I'm not overly sure what to expect. Even a couple of years back when we played these guys in Australia, about half the squad weren't there.
00:35It's a new squad. So, like I said, I like that part of Test cricket. You've got to problem solve really quickly when you're out there.
00:43But yeah, they've got some class, fast bowlers, obviously a new captain as well, so you don't always know what to expect.
00:51When the two sides met in Australia last year, the series finished at one apiece thanks to Shamar Joseph's brilliant 7-for-68 in the second innings at the Gabba.
01:01It's now left to be seen if the Aussies can deal with him in the Caribbean.
01:05It was a great series a couple of years ago. You know, weren't quite up to scratch for that Gabba test.
01:11A couple of West Indian guys, particularly Shamar, had a day out. So, yeah, I'm sure the batter's been talking about how to manage him and counter that.
01:23But we'll wait and see. Again, it's a new cycle, so we're really keen to get off to a good start and put ourselves at the top of that WTC.
01:30The Aussie 11 for the Bridgetown Test is as follows.
01:33Usman Khawaja, Sam Constas, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Travis Head, Bo Webster, keeper batter Alex Carey, skipper Pat Cummins, Mitchell Stork, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazelwood.
01:49We know that now I need to export.
