West Indies ODI skipper Shai Hope says the team's think-tank did its homework, which helped the men in maroon earn a convincing 3-0 win against Bangladesh.

He's also satisfied that all playing members did their part in making things happen.

00:00Following the 3-0 win over Bangladesh in the ODI series, West Indies skipper Shea Hope
00:04was a delighted man. He says it all boils down to proper planning and motivation and
00:09of course playing good cricket to get the desired result.
00:11I just think the progression is showing. It's clear. We're improving before we would take
00:19one step forward and then two steps back. Especially when we start a series well we
00:23find ourselves playing pretty mediocre cricket sometimes in the back end of the series. But
00:29we're really keeping the foot down especially when we're up. It's something that I really
00:33wanted to challenge the boys this time especially after that England series when we came. We
00:38let them back in. We won the last game to finish the series but when we have teams in
00:43strong positions like that especially at home, our fortress, we've got to make sure we can
00:47finish the series and try to win a lot more 3-0s if we can.
00:50Hope is also pleased that the team did not have to depend on one or two individuals to
00:54get the job done. Different players stepped up at different times including debutant Amir
00:59Jangu who smashed an unbeaten 104. And he too has come in for praise from the skipper.
01:04It's great. I always speak about the accolades and the milesaws coming after the fact. But
01:11I think that the way how he played through the innings, it's great to see he can get
01:16a century while winning the game for the team. So I'm very happy to see him getting some
01:20runs on debut.
01:21With the exception of the second ODI in which Bangladesh were bowled out for 227, the Tigers
01:26had scores in excess of 290 in the other games. But Hope is unperturbed by the other scores
01:32saying the game has evolved over the years.
01:34If you look at it, in this day and age cricket, 300 is a par score. So I think we're bowling
01:40very well here especially as what we call the bullring here in St. Kitts. So to restrict
01:44a team for less than 290 without bowling them out is a great sign for our bowlers. And then
01:50in the second game, the way how he came back after that first one, sitting up to 20-plus,
01:55it's great. We always thought that 320 today was pretty par, especially with the conditions
02:01that we had. I thought that today's pitch was the best out of all three. So as long
02:05as we started well, which we didn't in this particular instance, we knew we had it under
02:09control. But again, as a strong team, if you can pull a team out from different situations,
02:14then you know that you've got something in the building.
02:16The teams now switch to three T20 internationals starting December 15th in St. Vincent, with
02:21hope out for the entire series since he's off to the Big Bash League in Australia.
