the former Royal Navy Air Station HMS Daiglers. We're immensely grateful and honoured to have

such a fantastic turnout here this morning and thank you all for coming. It's a great pleasure

and honour to be here today especially as I'm not a Fleet Air Arm Officer. My background was really

in frigates and destroyers but we've got a bit of family heritage that relates to here in that

my grandfather was one of the pilots that won the Schneider Trophy for the final time in 1929

flying in the skies above us today and my uncle was also a Sea Fury pilot and saw action during the

Korean War so there's a there's a little bit of Fleet Air Arm there somewhere. Anyway thank you all for

joining us for the unveiling of the HMS Daedalus commemorative stone at the site of the former
