00:00What do you think today's results says about how Pools Grove residents are feeling at the moment?
00:05So it's clear with the majority that we won by that Pools Grove wanted change.
00:10I think that will reverberate through the city come May next year in the local elections.
00:16So yeah, it was a fantastic turnout and I can't thank the residents of Pools Grove enough.
00:21What issues did you hear most about on the doorstep and what are you most eager to tackle now that you're elected?
00:27So there's a lot about antisocial behaviour around the shops in Alloway Avenue.
00:32Antisocial behaviour on the hill, sort of behind the ward, speeding cars along the top of the hill, fly tipping at the top of the hill.
00:42So yeah, that's certainly something that I will work with the Police and Crime Commissioner around.
00:48I will also, and then hopefully after May, work with the new Mayor with regards to that as well.
00:55And yeah, it's just things like that really.
00:58This is a good result for reform. Obviously the Conservative candidate described it as a surge.
01:05Why do you think that is and why do you think reform are becoming this popular in Poolsmouth?
01:11Well I think reform are becoming popular across the United Kingdom.
01:15It's clear that the two-party system that we've had since World War II is not working anymore.
01:21People are frustrated with it and fed up with it.
01:24And yeah, reform will sweep the board next May I believe, strongly.
01:30And it's sending out a clear message that Labour and Conservatives have failed.
01:37Obviously Conservatives previously, Labour currently.
01:40And it's clear that the people want reform.
01:45Are you willing to work with other parties to get stuff done locally?
01:49100%.
01:50At the end of the day, when anyone stands for election, no matter what party they stand for,
01:56ultimately people do it because they want to help the community.
02:00They want to serve the residents.
02:03I've formerly served in the military.
02:06I've lived a life of service.
02:08And now I'm lucky enough for the residents of Poolsgrove to elect me so I can serve them further on.
02:15All right?
02:16Let's go.
