00:00Hello, Portsmouth, it's Heather Small here. Yes, I'd like to say hello, and if you're not coming to this show, why ever not? And the next time I come to Portsmouth, I want to see you there.
00:09You know what, it's very exciting, and it's humbling, and very rewarding. I have had a long career, especially playing live, so I have that acknowledged from a theatre live situation where lots of people come from the community to see live music. Yeah, it's wonderful, it is a wonderful feeling.
00:28I'm always a little nervous, but the shows have been going so well, it's such a good feel, you know, and I thank the Wets for having me as a special guest. It is exciting as well as terrifying.
00:40I didn't really know what I was going to say, but you know, like you said, it's a local community, and everybody knows what I'm about, and that you have the support of your local people, and that you bring live music to them on a regular basis.
00:54What can I say, look, I've told you, and well done, and that you'd have me on the wall, because everyone knows that I come to life when I play live. It's always been, I mean, for my first time in my career, the studio was quite difficult, you have to be very precise, and I hadn't done anything like that before, so it was a real learning curve.
01:10And then I went to Muscle Shoals, and I played with the band for the first time, and I thought, this is why I'm doing this. I absolutely loved it. So to get something like this from a venue that's playing live music on a regular basis to their community means the world to me, and thank you so, so very much, and to everyone that has made this possible, because I like it.
01:36I like it.
