The Police Service is reporting a significant reduction in serious and violent crimes for the year thus far, compared to the same period in the last two years.

Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday Acting Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin said the country has recorded 153 murders.

01:3570 percent reduction however there were some exceptions we have seen slight increase into in the southwestern
01:44division where we had at least 15 murders thus far against 12 last year and also we have seen a
01:54constant uh the certain number of 23 murders in the northern north both for last year and this year
