Despite frequent reports of fatal road-traffic accidents in recent times , according to information from the TTPS there has been a slight decrease compared to the same period last year.
Nevertheless, the TTPS is urging motorists to be more responsible on the nation's roads, particularly young drivers.
00:00The TTPS is weighing in on the spate of fatal road traffic accidents, a significant percentage of which had victims aged 25 years and younger.
00:10On Thursday, a 22-year-old man lost his life after he lost control of his vehicle and it crashed into a tree.
00:18This of course is the second fatal road traffic crash for the week that occurred on the highway involving a young male driver

00:43So again, we're appealing to even parents, you know, spend time with your kids, spend time with your young drivers, make sure they're ready for the roads.
00:52And we're asking the public to partner with us to help keeping the roads safe by obeying all road traffic rules.

01:41And just one unsafe decision or lack of attention can result in an accident, which can result in loss of limb or, of course, loss of life.
01:51Drivers are again reminded to reduce their vehicle speeds, especially when the roads are wet and keep a safe on distance from the vehicle in front.
