00:00I'd like you to explain to the audience why literally nobody wants to be the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator.
00:08Even Charlie Rice Jr. was at Ole Miss now with Lane Kiffin and I was with him before that at Ole Miss.
00:14I was interviewed for the job and said, on second thought, no thank you, nobody wants to coach a unique Sirianni.
00:22Yeah, that's not completely true, okay?
00:25But there have been people absolutely who have turned the job down so far.
00:30Not some people.
00:32Not everybody.
00:32Every single person.
00:33Every person.
00:34No.
00:35Every single person that the Eagles have interviewed has said, no thank you.
00:40Thank you for the interest.
00:41Thank you for the interview.
00:42I do not want to work for you.
00:44It's a testament to your head coach.
00:47It's crazy, crazy, really crazy.
00:48A little bit, but let's see who they end up with.
00:52Let's see who they end up with.
00:53I was told that the Dable thing, not completely true.
00:59And I believe that even though it was reported last week, he still has a side for that OC position in Tennessee.
01:05And it appears, again, it appears that he's not.
01:08And it appears he hasn't gotten a Buffalo job yet.
01:11It appears, again, a lot of this is fluid and it could change.
01:15I still actually think Dable is most likely to end up with the Eagles job unless he gets that Bills head coaching job.
01:21I really believe that, but it is strange how many people, I will admit, even as an Eagles fan, how many people have said, you know what, I'm good.
01:30Yeah.
01:31Well, because nobody wants to work with Nick Sirianni.
01:33And I think it's a great job.
01:35You've got a great offense.
01:36I was thinking about Jalen Hurts because of all the love that Drake May gets.
01:42And it was fascinating to me that in Jalen Hurts' playoff run to becoming Super Bowl MVP, I'm going to break this down to the most basic stats we got.
01:53Touchdowns to interceptions, okay?
01:54So, last year, when the Eagles won the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts had 10 touchdowns, one interception, all right?
02:02But all I kept hearing afterwards was, oh, system quarterback, oh, the great team around him, oh, they carried him, oh, Saquon Barkley, oh, the offensive line, and on and on and on.
02:14You heard the same things, of course.
02:15Yep.
02:15You're in Philly.
02:16Absolutely.
02:17Drake May's stats in the postseason, five touchdowns, so half as many touchdowns as Jalen Hurts, and five interceptions, five times as many interceptions as Jalen Hurts.
02:32But all I keep hearing about Drake May is, Drake May's the reason why.
02:36Drake May's the great leader.
02:37Drake May carried the Patriots' offense.
02:39I'm like, wait a minute.
02:41Drake May has the same amount of interceptions as he does touchdowns.
02:45If I add fumbles to that, the stats are even worse.
02:49Jalen Hurts threw 10 touchdowns to one interception.
02:53And I'm trying to figure out, why don't we talk about Drake May the way some cats are talking about Jalen Hurts?
03:00Doesn't make any sense to me.
03:01Yeah.
03:02Doesn't make any sense.
03:03It's because a lot of these pundits are supposed to watch the games and break it down.
03:07They write their stuff before the playoffs start.
03:10They write a narrative.
03:11And then they'll fit that narrative no matter what.
03:13So, if Jalen Hurts is just a game manager, God forbid you actually get credit for playing well.
03:18The other part, because I already hear Patriots people talking about the weather, he had to play that Rams game in a damn blizzard last year.
03:24And he still had that ratio.
03:26So, don't give me weather.
03:27That Rams game was as bad a condition as any game that was played yesterday or any playoff game we've seen.
03:32And he still pulled out.
03:33Yesterday, sure, the Houston-New England game, the weather was worse, but neither here nor there.
03:38The point's still the same.
03:40Jalen Hurts doesn't get the love.
03:42And Drake May gets the love that he doesn't deserve.
03:45It's a weird thing.
