00:00it's put up or shut up time right like for the entire steelers organization there's never been

00:04a team i feel like that's more all in than this team going into the year and they're going to

00:09look a lot different than last year mike just not going to rely on that defense anymore aaron

00:13rogers is now the quarterback uh you know certainly they have dk metcalf at wide receiver

00:19johnny smith a trade for him yesterday too so is this enough though to say that a team is all in

00:25you know mike i mean a lot of veterans and it feels like anything less than what a playoff win at this

00:31point will be a bust yeah i think it's a fair i think it's a fair characterization to say that they

00:36are pushing their chips to the middle of the table but i think it's also fair to question whether or

00:42not this team is good enough to warrant that type of response some people might call it a little bit

00:49of a desperate action but i'm a steelers fan too so i i have i'm seeing this from a couple of

00:55different angles i don't think aaron rogers is certainly near the top of where his game has been

01:01and does the addition of him and some of these other players immediately launch them over the

01:07teams in their own division are they markedly better than the bangles are they better than the

01:12ravens are they better than the bills or the chiefs frankly the chargers and broncos came on

01:18last year as well so it's a highly competitive conference at the top we could talk about the depth

01:24of the afc versus the nfc but clearly the playoff mix of teams that made it last year are going to

01:31be a challenge aaron rogers is going to be protected with some talent here and an offensive line that has

01:37been built up very significantly over the last three off seasons uh fa utanu did their first round pick

01:45last year did not get an opportunity to play due to injury so he's in the mix along with

01:49broderick jones and others and that could create some good protection for aaron rogers this season

01:57in addition to the weapons that you mentioned now now what about the trade for jonu smith let's get

02:02into that here for a minute because he was arguably one of two his favorite targets in miami last season

02:09of course pat friarmuth is already there so you know mike do you see a lot of two tight end sets here

02:15at quarterback i mean this is not really is it is it the aaron rogers offense having two big guys

02:20like this going over the middle i don't recall seeing that in the past fair question i think it's

02:25more the arthur smith offense that it is the aaron rogers offense which is probably my primary question

02:30about this team as we head into this season how much is aaron rogers going to be allowed to be

02:38flexible with the types of plays he wants to call versus what arthur smith has done in both

02:44atlanta and now in pittsburgh what is that going to look like he's added caleb johnson joe pisapia was

02:52just talking with you about the addition of caleb johnson and jalen warren that'll be a two-back

02:56set you have friarmuth and now jonu smith whose best seasons one of his best seasons came with

03:03arthur smith at the helm in atlanta you have also darnell washington a massive target at tight end so they

03:10have depth at that position dk smith robert woods calvin austin is the wide receiving core it's

03:16maybe not the most elite uh three starting wide receiver set but there's depth there uh that is

03:24this stealer's offense the reality craig is this stealer's offense is way better on paper this off

03:30season uh than it was a year ago is a championship level that remains to be seen
