Like the men, the women too are eyeing ICC titles.

This as West Indies coach Shane Deitz says his job is to win World Cups.

Before that however the Windies ladies aim to give 100 percent against hosts England in a white ball series, which bowls off on Wednesday 21st May, from 1.30pm T&T time.

00:00The West Indies face a tough challenge from hosts England in three T20s followed by three
00:04ODIs with the action starting Wednesday in Canterbury.
00:08Windy's coach Shane Deed says the players have given it their all during training and
00:13plan to do the same on the field of play.
00:15Yeah I think to be competitive here is going to be the ultimate goal, you know we've just
00:22come from Pakistan where it was 46 degrees every day and the girls had regionals which
00:27was real hot and we come here you know we trained this morning it was 10 degrees when we arrived
00:32so you got to get used to these conditions first and foremost and we trained really well today
00:37so that adjustment is starting to happen so we just want to be competitive in every game here.
00:42Having missed out on a spot for this year's fifth day over world cup in India
00:46the ladies in Maroon will be using this tour as a rebuilding process.
00:50As such Deed sees this as an important series even though world cup qualification is not at stake.
00:56My job is to come in to win world cups that's what we're trying to do win a world cup
01:00and we can't play the way we've been playing over the last you know 10 years because we haven't won
01:06a world cup in 10 years so we've got to change the way we play change our approach to make sure that
01:11we've got a style of cricket and the players to be able to beat Australia beat England beat India
01:18South Africa New Zealand all those top teams.
01:20The team is without Chanel Henry because of a leg injury while Deandra Doughton sustained an injury
01:26while playing in the women's premier league in India. The coach sees it as a big loss for the West
01:30Indies team.
01:31Obviously missing two world class players obviously Deandra's been world class for a long time and
01:38you know she hurt her knee quick update she hurt her knee in the IPL and so she's going to be out for a
01:45bit longer and she should be back full fitness in a month or two so it's a shame we haven't got her
01:51and um you know she come back and made a huge impact to the team in the world cup last year
01:55and a real big impact in St Kitts against the Bangladesh series so we're going to miss her
02:01and obviously Chanel Henry's you know been a revelation in the last three or four months.
02:06IPL she hit the most sixes in the IPL again in regionals last week she made a great 100 in T20
02:12cricket. The side will be captained by Hayley Matthews with Shemaine Campbell as a deputy.
02:17When you would now I need to use export.
