00:00Man, I think about this a lot, right?
00:01And then they do these surveys and they come out with these studies.
00:0499.5 QIK, it's Mark and Melanie, Tampa Bay's morning crew.
00:07These are the regrets people are going to have at the end of their life, right?
00:11But here's a good thing.
00:12If we work now to figure it out, then we won't have them at the end of our life.
00:16The regrets won't be there.
00:17Yeah, that's everyone's biggest fear, isn't it?
00:19Or one of them is to look back and regret something.
00:22My wife and I talk about this all the time.
00:24I'm like, we need to be doing more, like we need to be living more adventure, adventurous.
00:28And she's like, what do you mean?
00:29I'm like, I don't know.
00:30Sell everything.
00:31Let's move to a tropical island and write a blog about selling everything and moving to a tropical island.
00:35Okay, bucket list family.
00:37Here's the key with that.
00:39He's a billionaire.
00:40Who?
00:41Or a multimillionaire.
00:42The bucket list family, that's what they did.
00:43They sold all their stuff.
00:45And now everybody has that idea that they want to do the same thing.
00:48But he sold an app and has so much money.
00:51And that's why they were able to do it.
00:52All right, five biggest regrets.
00:53Here's number five.
00:54It's not being a better parent.
00:56And parents worry about that all the time.
00:58You always worry about that.
00:59Because, you know, like my son Tyler's 12.
01:01I was thinking 4th of July.
01:02I was like, man, I've only got like five more 4th of Julys with him.
01:06Isn't that crazy?
01:07That's sad to think like that.
01:08Oh, dude, it is.
01:09I mean, isn't that, you know what I mean?
01:11Like thinking about Christmas.
01:12Like if you have a, you have, let's say a 7-year-old, you're down to 10 more Christmases and that's it.
01:18You can't look at stuff that way.
01:19That sounds so disgusting.
01:20You have to.
01:21You have to when you're a parent.
01:22Yeah, you just do.
01:23I mean, I do wonder about bishops sometimes.
01:25Am I parenting him right now?
01:28That's my dog.
01:29Bishops are dogs.
01:30I do not have kids yet.
01:31Number four is working too much.
01:33That's a big regret.
01:34Number four.
01:35Yeah, spend all your day at work.
01:36Why?
01:37You know, someone told me once, what do you do when you're on your deathbed?
01:39Do you just go, gosh, I wish I could have worked every Saturday.
01:43Nobody ever says that, right?
01:45No.
01:46Number three, not spending enough time with your family.
01:48That kind of plays in the number five.
01:49Oh, I could see that.
01:50They're all linked so far.
01:52Yeah.
01:52Number two, not taking better care of your health because then you wonder yourself, maybe I wouldn't be in this position if I focused on my health more.
02:00Mm-hmm.
02:00Right?
02:01Number one, oh, this gives me the chills.
02:04I get instant regrets.
02:05The number one regret.
02:06Yeah.
02:07Not traveling more.
02:08Yep.
02:09Yes.
02:10I know.
02:11Isn't that on everyone's list?
02:13Gotta be.
02:14Yes.
02:15That was the whole point of this segment.
02:19I'm just saying.
02:20Yes.
02:23Good point.
02:24That's a good point.
02:25What are we doing here?
02:26Yeah, but you know what's crazy is it's like that is so true and you don't even have to travel outside the country.
02:31Think of all the amazing places in the U.S.
02:33I know.
02:34Like we don't even, you know what I mean?
02:35I know it.
02:36I've been out of the country a lot.
02:37I'm really lucky to go to some cool places.
02:38But man, there's some great places in the United States I haven't been to.
02:41Yeah, but here is the issue is you need money to travel.
02:44I don't.
02:44I think we just say that.
02:46I think you can figure it out.
02:47I really do.
02:49Really?
02:49Yeah.
02:50I'm just trying to be an optimist here.
02:51Figure it out.
02:52Figure it out.
02:53Okay, I'll be sure when I call the airline stay.
02:55I'll be like, well, Mark said I could just figure it out.
02:57Well, I didn't say you're going to fly there.
02:58Oh, okay.
03:00No.
03:00Right.
03:01Why are you jumping to the airline?
03:02Okay.
03:02You might rent a van or buy a van or fix it up.
03:04All right, so I'll tell the gas station, well, Mark said I could figure it out.
03:07Why are you blaming everything on me?
03:08I don't know exactly how to do it all.
03:09I'm just saying those are the regrets.
03:10I just think that you, the reason you have the regret, excuse me, of working too much
03:15is because you're trying to have enough money to be able to afford all these other things
03:20that you want to get done.
03:21I know, but you're just keeping up with the Joneses.
03:23You just, you know what I mean?
03:25It's just, well, if you look at the top two things, number two was health and number one
03:29was traveling.
03:30So why don't you walk all the places that you want to go to?
03:32Oh my goodness.
03:34And then, you see what I'm saying?
03:35You kind of, no.
03:37Kill two birds with one stone.
03:38Right.
03:38All right, well, I'm going to start walking now.
03:41To the Grand Canyon.
03:43I'll let you know in a couple of years what I get there.
03:45Or your favorite neighborhood bar.
03:47I mean, it doesn't always have to be somewhere crazy like the Grand Canyon.
03:49It could be somewhere, you know, down the street.
03:51Just start small, you know what I'm saying?
03:53Well, if it's up to my bank account, I'm going down the street.
03:56That's about as far as I'm going to go.
03:57All right, Texas now.
03:59I want people to text us.
04:00Like, what's the one thing you're doing not to have regrets later?
04:02800-992-1099.
