00:00Welcome back to the TV6 News. Let's head across now to President's House where Irvishitawar Ribnurain is reporting on the swearing-in of the new Prime Minister, Kamala Passat-Bissassar.
00:12Well, very good evening to you, Disha, and to our viewers on TV6. It's official. Kamala Passat-Bissassar is Trinidad and Tobago's ninth Prime Minister.
00:22Now, Disha, not only does she go down in history as the first female Prime Minister, but she's the only woman to have done it twice.
00:32Now, provided she saves her entire five-year team, she'll also go down in history as the oldest serving Prime Minister.
00:39In an unprecedented move this evening at President's House as she exited the compound,
00:44she stopped to greet supporters who gathered at the Queen's Park Savannah to witness the oath-taking ceremony.
