00:00We have grown and now we see several women playing the instrument. We see
00:07several women leading. When you look at it in Panchen Bigo itself, you have a
00:13female president, you have a female secretary. So I want to talk about that.
00:17You have a female treasurer, you have a female education officer. It's not but you see
00:23women coming to the fore. Ramsey Moore notes that in the past playing pan was
00:28seen as a man's activity. Denise Hernandez and I and a couple other women, we fought
00:34long and hard to have a space and a say as leaders in the organization. It was
00:40not easy. Battered and bruised. Personal non grata. Listen, it was not easy to make
00:49that breakthrough and finally smash that glass ceiling. She says she feels proud
00:55that government and corporate society can align themselves with Panchen Bigo
01:00now. In fact, she shared some exciting news for the development of pan in the
01:05region. That Tobago panorama that they had in February during this period will
01:12not be held. So the last panorama around the world will be held in Tobago. Wow.
01:19Yes. And so now it gives an opportunity for all steel pan enthusiasts around the
01:26world to come home to Tobago to enjoy panorama. She also notes that as the
01:31world governing body for steel pan, Panchen Bigo now has a new external
01:36relations officer tasked with creating a relationship with regional steel band
01:41leaders and the international world to give support where needed. Her advice to
01:46women this year is find your power. As long as you know it and you find it, you
01:52can do all things. Nicola M Romany TV six news.
