Well cyclists Njsane Phillip and Makaira Wallace took the top honours last evening at the National Cycling Championships. They both captured the Time Trial and Sprint events at the elite level. However, in the endurance races Teniel Campbell and her brother Akil Campbell took the top spots.

00:00Over in the time trial and the sprints where cyclist Justine Phillips seems to
00:04be turning back the clock. He won both events, racing in the qualifier against
00:08the Sindel Samaru, he came out on top.
00:12It was an easy win in the end for Phillip. Zion Polito of Brick Tech
00:32Summits finished a second in the sprints but before he took that spot he needed
00:36to get the better of Ryan D'Abreu of Arima Wheelers. Makairo Wallace also did
00:41the double in the sprint and time trial events. Meantime in the Omnium, PSL's
00:46Tenille Campbell picked up where she left off by winning that event and
00:50gathering 119 points. Alexi Ramirez of Miami Blazers trailing behind her with
00:5681 points. Campbell's mother looked on closely as her brother became national
01:01champion in the elite men ahead of Tariq Woods and Liam Trepti. In the end it
01:06was a good day for the Campbell's as they reflect on the race at the Velodrome.
