Trinidad and Tobago cyclist Nicholas Paul sprinted to silver in the second leg of the UCI Track Champions League in Netherlands last evening. Paul shocked his opponents in the semis, but was beaten in the final by Olympic champion Harrie Lavreysen in the men's sprint final.

00:00Cyclist Nicholas Paul faced the tough odds against the Champions League sprint leader

00:04Matthew Richardson in the semis, but he's sure that he can pull off a shock.

00:08Richardson goes up really steep there, really high, forcing the riders into a traction.

00:13That was a nice trick there because he slowed his speed down quickly, but wow!

00:16Nicholas Paul saw the jump moment and he has made the jump.

00:20And that's quite the difference.

00:22There are still two whole laps to go, but he's got an eye on 100 metres here.

00:32Richardson's being made a move hard and Hoffman just sitting on his wheel and playing that card as well.

00:55Paul was eventually defeated in the final by hometown favourite and Olympic champion Harry Labreyson in the final.
