Relatives of Pete Philip, the Well Services rig employee who went missing when the rig he was on collapsed at sea back in December, are calling on the company to do more to expediate the recovery process of his body.

They spoke with reporters outside the gates of Well Services in South Oropouche on Tuesday.

00:15Rig 110, while he and 74 others were working offshore near Point 14 within the Heritage
00:22Offshore East field.
00:24However, the body of the 47-year-old San Fernando father-of-four is yet to be recovered, dragging
00:31on an already agonising ordeal for relatives.
00:58His nine-month-pregnant wife is due to deliver their fifth child any day now.
01:11On Tuesday, Phillip's mother, brother and sister joined members of the oilfield workers'
01:16trade union outside the company's gates at the Otahete Industrial Park, south of Ruput,
01:22demanding answers and swifter action.
01:26In a media update today, Well Services restated its reason for giving a tentative date in
01:31March for the resumption of recovery efforts, some three months after the accident, saying,
01:36only when the rig is properly stabilised will recovery proceed in full with the goal of
01:42ensuring safety of all involved and successfully recovering Pete Phillip's body.
01:48Well Services says local equipment did not meet necessary standards with this operation
01:54and they have partnered with an international company for the high-risk job to avoid placing
02:00lives in jeopardy and to prevent further risk or damage.
02:25But this recovery, my brother, I'm not making money for them, so they have no care in the world.
