00:13The union said the decision to withhold the payments forced a protracted legal battle at the Industrial Court.
00:20In a statement, the PSA thanked the current United National Congress Administration
00:24and Prime Minister Kamala-Pissad-Bissessa for fulfilling their promise to workers under the government's workers' agenda.
00:33The union says the directive signals the government's respect for workers' rights and the collective bargaining process.

01:00Prior to the 2025 general election, the PSA had declared its support for the UNC and its coalition partners.
01:09The Association would no doubt be hoping for more positive news in the upcoming budget presentation in October,
01:15particularly on the proposed 10% wage increase which Prime Minister Pissad-Bissessa had promised to deliver.
