00:00We keep it going as we believe the children are the future as St. Paul's Anglican Primary School
00:05have been crowned champions of the Victoria District Under-11 Division yesterday at the
00:10Manu-Amazon Stadium. Well, they defeat the defending champion San Fernando Boys Government 3-0.
00:16The match comprised of two 20-minute halves. The opening goal, well, as you can see,
00:22something of a beauty which was scored by talisman Joseph in the 10th minute.
00:27In the second half, they added two more goals. Just take time to admire this bit of
00:33dribbling skills, though. That's Kadeem Fleming in the 30th minute and Raiden Charles would get the
00:40third goal in the 33rd minute. Oh, this is their second district championship in three years.
00:47Well, meantime, the final of the Under-12 Southeast District Primary School football tournament is about to be decided

01:32Meanwhile, the boys' Under-15 final between Mafikin Government and St. Mary's Government is scheduled for Tuesday.
01:40I wonder who I'm celebrating or supporting for that matter.
01:44Well, the shuttlecocks are flying once again as today marked the start of Trinidad and Tobago International
01:50Badminton Open at the National Racket Centre in Tacaragua.
01:54Athletes from around the world are competing for valuable ranking points across five events.
01:58Meanwhile, the curtain came down yesterday on the Caribbean Regional Badminton Championship
02:03as there were some new names on the winners' list.
02:06Barbadian Kenny King captured the men's singles strong, defeating TNT's Vance Juteram in the final.
02:12And on the women's side, Amara Urquhart was declared champion after Guyanese star Priya Ramdani was forced to retire.
02:19In doubles action, the pair of King and Shea Martin outplayed Kenneth Aglin and Matthew Yee Grant to take home the title.
02:26While Sabrina Scots and Nikisha Blake claimed the women's doubles strong after Shakida Diboulay and Ramdani pulled out of the contest.
02:35The spotlight now shifts to the international stage where the region's best will test their skills against the world.
02:43Well, if you're feeling a bit giddy, don't worry because the Philadelphia 76ers were left whoop-de-doo
02:49after Josh Giddey notched a 29-point triple-double to help the Chicago Bulls rally from 24 points down to win 113 to 111.
02:58On the other end, Trenton Watford goes strong inside, but Kevin Herter says no.
03:07The Bulls trim it to single digits by the end of the third.
03:10Final frame.
03:10Edgecombe dies for the loose ball, gets it ahead.
03:12Kelly Oubre Jr. slams it home.
03:15A left-handed slam and Philly holding on to the lead.
03:18Then Watford finds a cutting Maxie for the easy layup.
03:22Maxie, the birthday boy, leads all scorers with 39.
03:24But the Bulls would not quit.
03:27Buzelas misses inside.
03:28Vucevic there for the putback.
03:30Chicago cuts it to five.
03:32Under 90 seconds left.
03:33Giddey crosses over, floats it in.
03:35He's got 29, 15, and 12.
03:37The Bulls within one after trailing by as many as 24 points.
03:42Final seconds.
03:43Giddey drives, whips it to Vucevic in the corner, and he drills the go-ahead three.
03:48United Center erupts.
03:50First lead of the night for Chicago.
03:52That's how they get it done.
03:53And what a pass by Giddey to the corner.
03:56Vucevic nails the three.
03:58Final play.
03:59Quentin Grimes for the win.
04:01Off the mark.
04:02Bulls complete their largest comeback since 2021.
04:07Winning 113, 111.
04:10Well, the champions.
04:12We all know that song.
04:14Better melody, of course.
04:15As Manchester City are still hitting all the right notes, keeping perfection alive.
04:19With a thumping 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund today.
04:23Erling Haaland found the back of the net against his former club.
04:25Their city continued to flex their European dominance.
04:29Barcelona, meanwhile, were forced to share the spoils after a 3-0 thriller against their Belgian opponents.
04:34While Chelsea battled to a 2-0 draw, avoiding defeat in a tense matchup.
04:39And Newcastle, they stayed rock solid, blanking their Spanish challenges 2-0 to keep their campaign rolling.
04:44Erling Haaland faced his former club, Borussia Dortmund, and crowned it off with a goal.
04:52His strike followed a pair from Phil Foden, as City remained one of four teams to win all four matches with a 4-1 victory.
05:02Barcelona isn't one of the perfect teams and narrowly avoided a second defeat against Club Rouge.
05:07Lamin Yamal was on target as he equalised to make it 2-0 after the break.
05:16Both teams scored twice after that and the Belgian side thought they had a fourth, but it was ruled out as it ended in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
05:25Chelsea were held to a 2-0 draw against Azerbaijan club Carabaug.
05:29And he hits the post, but the follow-up is in.
05:34Former Manchester United striker Alejandro Ganacho scoring the equaliser for the Blues.
05:40And Newcastle United blanked Athletic Club 2-0 with goals from Dan Burns and Joe Linton.
05:45Terence Clark, TV6 Sport.
05:48Cooling header. I'll tell you what, you've seen it all.
05:51Well, the Asian Champions League was also kicking as age is just the number.
05:54As former Real Madrid star striker Karim Benzema was on target, again to help Al Itihad to another victory.
06:01While Japanese club and former club of Andres Iniesta, Vesel Kobe, stormed to the top of the East region.
06:08The 37-year-old Frenchman scored a side's second goal to record their second win from four matches and move up to sixth in the West region.
06:16Saudi champions haven't won this tournament for over 20 years.
06:19Japanese side Vesel Kobe have gone to the top of the Eastern standings.
06:25They beat South Korean champions Unsan 1-0.
06:28Brazilian Jane Patrice with the goal that puts them one point clear of fellow Japanese side Sanfresche Hiroshima.
06:37The Liverpool League will take centre stage in Europe tomorrow.
06:39However, fans of Israeli club Maccabee Tel Aviv, well, they are not allowed to make the trip to Birmingham to see their club play against Aston Villa.
06:47This was the Israeli team training in Tel Aviv before travelling to Birmingham in the UK.
06:54Israeli sports team have become a focus for pro-Palestinian demonstrations during the war on Gaza, and more protests are expected on Thursday.
07:04Local authorities deemed it too risky to allow Maccabi fans.
07:08Tennis drops wound over the net, and Iga Shiontek's poor form continued as the pool was knocked out of the WTA finals.
07:16The world number two fell to Amanda Anasimova in three sets.
07:21Winner takes all match.
07:22Anasimova fought back from a set down to win the three sets.
07:26The American is aiming for her first title at the season-ending championship on her debut appearance.
07:32She will join Elena Rabekina in the semi-finals.
07:37Well, it's not the Nobel Peace Prize, but FIFA will hand out its new FIFA Peace Prize at the upcoming World Cup draw in the Big Apple.
07:44Gianni Infantino, who's close with President Trump, said the prize will recognise those who work hard to end conflicts and bring people together.
07:54Trump missed out on the Nobel Peace Prize last month.
07:58The award will be presented alongside the World Cup draw on December 5th at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
08:03Next year, the U.S. will co-host a tournament with Mexico and Canada.
08:09Well, some say there's no beating experience, and Australia will be banking on a lot of experience.
08:15Well, that's for the upcoming Ashes Test Series against England.
08:18Well, that's because the Aussies named the squad with only one player under the age of 30.
08:22All-rounder, Cameron Green is the only player of the 15 who is under 30 years old.
08:30They've dropped 20-year-old opening batter Sam Constance and called up the uncapped Jake with her.
08:37Well, Marnus Labouchane is back in the mix after being left out of their tour to the West Indies.
08:44And captain Pat Cummins is still out recovering from a back injury.
08:49First test starts on November 21st in Perth.
08:52I feel a little bit sorry for Sam Constance.
08:55He's been in and out of the side a bit, and it actually reminds me of myself when I first started playing for Australia.
09:00So I'm not fully confident of being in the side and up and down and form a bit not quite there.
09:06So he's probably lacking a bit of confidence.
09:09Well, it's been a while since we've seen Steve Waugh tell you that.
09:12Well, change is constant, and even live golf can't change as they are moving from 54 holes to 72
09:18to help players benefit from ranking points.
09:21And it's a welcome change from one of the biggest critics, Rory McIlroy.
09:27Next season, the Saudi Arabia-backed series will expand from 54 to the more traditional 72-hole tournaments.
09:35The change could help live players earn world ranking points, which determine access to the four majors.
09:41Rory McIlroy is world number two and one of the high-profile players who decided not to join the live tour.
09:47I think it's a peculiar move because I think they could have got ranking points with three rounds.
09:57I don't think the three rounds versus four rounds was what was holding them back.
10:01But, yeah, it certainly puts them more in line with traditional golf tournaments and sort of what we've all done.
10:13It brings them back into not really being a disruptor and sort of falling more in line with what everyone else does.
10:22So, but if that's what they felt they needed to do to get the ranking points, then I guess that's what they had to do.
10:29Well, it is not yet Christmas, but behold, a star is born.
10:39He's up every day.
10:42When there's future talent on display, you just know it.
10:46It might be a primary school match, but there were fresh signs that the future is in safe hands, or should I say safe feet.
10:52Malachi Joseph looked to have full control and full authority over what he can do with the football.
10:58His confidence speaks to a player that has been practicing the right things.
11:02He was named MVP in the final for St. Paul's Anglican Primary School.
11:06So, Malachi, for your dribbling skills and your goal, you take tonight's TV6 of the day.
11:13I can tell you what, somewhere there's a parent with a phone at the screen and a big smile on their face saying,
11:19that's my boy.
11:21Alright, that's it for sport for the team. I'm James Saunders.
11:24I'll catch you later.
