Leeds: Have you noticed bars and restaurants closing?

With some bars and restaurants suggesting the Budget had made their viability impossible, have you noticed more bars and restaurants closing in your area recently?

00:00I saw a post in a newspaper that a restaurant that had been closed for some decades is reopening.

00:09Well, actually, some of them are closing up, but some are reopening.

00:15Well, I know of one that is reopening. Some are closing up because of the present condition of things in the country,

00:22the economy, cost of living, the rising cost of mortgages and rents and all.

00:28I tend to go to a little microbrewery. I come from Derbyshire, so there's lots of little pop-up microbreweries I like real ill.

00:37So they're where I really go. If I'm going to a bar, I'm not really fussy. I'll just go in any one that sells nice drinks.

00:45I haven't noticed any bar or restaurant closures. City centre, I mean, I only really stay around the city centre area.

00:52I live in the city centre, so I've noticed more bars opening and more restaurants opening.
