Leeds locals reflect on shops they’d like to see make a return to the city

Woolworths? HMV? Allders? Which shops would you like to see return to Leeds?

00:00 I definitely have missed Wilko's. It was in our kind of regular, one of the shops that we would go to.

00:07 So many things, like gardening things and just the, your bits and bobs, your cleaning, producty things,

00:13 at such better value I feel like than elsewhere. So yeah, definitely missing Wilko's.

00:19 And it also makes me think of my grandma a little bit because she would always go to Wilko's.

00:24 So there's a little bit of nostalgia there.

00:26 Louis's, you know Louis's? Louis's and Hedra, and I don't know, Schofield's.

00:34 I think like Blockbusters is one that springs to mind because it's really nice to go and buy a physical DVD.

00:42 Same with vinyls, maybe a vinyl shop so you can get like a physical vinyl and take it home and put it.

00:49 I think there's something very, there's something really nice about owning.

00:52 I think because of Netflix and stuff it's not really a thing anymore, but that would be interesting if it came back.
