Are there any items you used to buy every week that have now turned into an occasional treat because of the cost?

00:00The particular item that is seen as a treat now that I used to eat quite a lot is steak.
00:04I do enjoy a good steak, but obviously the price of steak and even chicken now has just
00:08changed dramatically compared to a few years ago.
00:14I used to nip by the local corner shop, you know, get a little meal deal, £3.50.
00:19Go down to Blooming Tesco now and £5.00, £6.00, Sainsbury's, £5.00, £6.00.
00:24Not a chance of paying for that. I'd much rather buy the ingredients and make it myself.
00:26I'd probably say chocolate because, you know, like it used to be really cheap going to get stuff
00:33and then obviously walking into the shops now and it's about £3.00 for a bar of chocolate.
00:38So it's definitely something I don't pick up that often anymore.
00:42A lot of prices in the supermarkets and in the shops are definitely, definitely going up quite high.
00:49Some reasonable, some not.
00:51But, I mean, I think the main ones is the pubs and the shops that sell alcohol and cigs.
00:58I think they've gone up dramatically.
