Are you cutting back on takeaways at the moment and are rising prices a factor in your reduced consumption?
Transcript
00:00I did used to love a takeaway. I've cut down drastically on takeaways for health reasons.
00:05I mean, look at me. I need to lose some weight. I do like a takeaway, but I try and make it a
00:10special occasion these days. The cost has gone up, but that's not surprising. Everything has gone up.
00:15The cost of their raw materials, the food and everything has gone up, and their overheads have
00:20rocketed, really, haven't they? Business rates and things like that. I used to take a lot of
00:24take-out, and it used to cost me, like, a pretty good price, but right now it's kind of becoming
00:32more expensive, and, like, I'm thinking, why? Pizza's gone from ÂŁ4.80 to ÂŁ7.70, and it's like,
00:42when I'm watching Talk This Morning, people are rather going to meals giving a bottle of olive oil
00:50rather than giving a bottle of wine, because olive oil's nearer than a bottle of wine.
00:55So the cost of living is affecting everybody massively.
