00:00Speaking with the media, Rondell Fields immediately called the bullying
00:03allegations false and misleading. Mr. Fields expresses disappointment that
00:08such claims were made by the Minister of Gender Affairs, publicly after his
00:12statement at the Men of Purpose march on Sunday.
00:15It's very unfortunate in the first place that any notion of or mention of bullying from me to the Minister was
00:24mentioned by her because it should be known and I'm pretty sure even her staff
00:30and those under her will confirm that I had very little communication with the Minister.
00:35He added that he strongly opposes the false narrative that is produced by
00:38publicizing such charges and painting him as a bully. He emphasizes that these
00:44charges do not represent his character or the principles of the Fathers
00:48Association, adding that he always behaved professionally and ethically.
00:52I mean this is exactly what I advocate for and we advocate for in groups.
01:00Someone comes out, whether a minister, whether a person on the ground comes out and makes an
01:04allegation and then specifically focuses on their gender and then uses the word
01:09bully pertaining to a man and then everybody just believes.
01:13According to Fields, Minister cannot provide any evidence that he bullied her.
01:18The Minister cannot provide any evidence to say that I bullied her because the
01:23communication I had with her was more with her male coordinator and her assistant
01:27permanent secretary which was Mr. Grijay Gangapasad.
01:31Despite his remarks on Sunday, Mr. Fields said he still feels a great sense of betrayal at the
01:37Minister's absence from the event, particularly because she was the one who
01:41sent out the invitations. He said his dismay was heightened because he didn't
01:46find out about her absence until the day of the march.
