The Republic Bank CPL saw many fans dressing up in costumes to bring more life to the biggest party in sport.

During the TKR versus Antigua and Barbuda Falcons clash at the Queen's Park Oval, the TV6 crew met with some of them.
Transcript
00:00Besides cricket, CPL is also about the atmosphere, colour and music and dance.
00:07It's the spectators who make it lively.
00:09One cannot bypass the fans who put in a lot of effort to dress up in their costumes.
00:14Take, for example, the lady in the word game outfit.
00:17What inspired you to dress up like this?
00:19Well, TKR is celebrating 10 years. It's the decade of champions.
00:23So I thought it fit to represent the champions via a scrabble board.
00:28DJ Bravo, Akhil Hussain, Pollard, Sunil Narine.
00:32I think it was a great, great way to celebrate TKR's legacy.
00:36This gentleman was by no means joking when he said he was gracing the oval with his presence for the first time.
00:42He too had a whale of a time at the venue.
00:49Can you explain your attire? What does it symbolise?
00:52It symbolises a clown outfit. Clowns usually make people laugh and have a good time.
00:58You know the hard times showing that is presently.
01:00So here they put a smile on people's face because we come to win this match.
01:04We won one last night and we're winning this one tonight also.
01:07So it's just a jolly time.
01:09I'll be 66 years next month. It's my first experience in the Oval.
01:14After my granddaughter's encouragement, Nana, please come. You will make people smile.
01:19So here I am tonight.
01:20Are you enjoying it?
01:21Immensely. Immensely. Immensely. Very good.
01:24Cheers.
01:25Then cameraman Emmanuel Nunez and yours truly came across this fancy sailor.
01:30One wonders if he knows about the sea or is he a landlubber.
01:34One thing's for sure, he can dance.
01:43I'm enjoying the CPL. I always enjoy the CPL.
01:47The CPL is nice. I like to put on my costume and come and enjoy it.
01:51To portray Trinidad and Tobago.
01:53It's a traditional character.
01:59How long have you been doing this?
02:00Over 40 years.
02:02And of course, the entertainers also play a big part such as this blue devil whose name is Anton Weeks.
02:12Yes sir. What sort of practice do you put into this in order to get it right?
02:16We really put a lot of practice into it.
02:19Because this ain't some abnormal beat.
02:24We need it. It's a skill.
02:28All that we do is our skills.
02:30So it's a lot of work into it.
02:35The Moko Jumbies were also doing their thing, which requires staying focused.
02:39Among them was Tikel Silvan, who enjoys performing at the biggest party in sport.
02:44How did you get into this?
02:46Well, I'm just a sense worker. I perform as a sense worker in Moko Jumbies.
02:51I perform in the Kaisoka School of Arts.
02:54And we've been performing over the years at CPL.
02:57Those who missed out on the fun in Port of Spain have another three bites at the cherry.
03:02That's because the action continues at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Taruba on September 22nd.
03:08Then the 24th, that being Republic Day.
03:11And finally the 27th.
03:13I'm feeling it now. I need to keep supporting it.
