00:00Each CPL franchise is allowed to retain one player ahead of the draft with the
00:05requirement being that he has to be selected from the breakout player
00:08category. The six retained breakout players are Joshua James who's with the
00:13Antigua and Barbada Falcons, Ramon Simmons who's a part of the Barbada's
00:17Royals, Quinton Sampson representing the Ghana Amazon Warriors, Navin Bidesi
00:23who's with the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Akeem Oguist who's representing
00:28St. Lucia Kings and Nathan Edward the man who's playing with the Trinbago Knight
00:33Riders. Each franchise will name a total of three breakout players in their final
00:38squad. According to the tournament regulations every team must field at
00:42least one breakout player in every match. The draft selections will be revealed on
00:47Friday May 15th across the CPL's official social media channels. Also playing in
00:53this year's CPL will be the Jamaica Kingsmen making it seven teams for the
00:57first time. This year's CPL bowls off on August 7th.
