00:00A terrible, a terrible, a terrible one. I don't know.
00:19It was back in 2022 that Anne-Marie Hicks first noticed the issues in her apartment.
00:26In 2022, the tiles burst up in the bedroom and we went and made a report and the supervisor
00:35came around. It had a workman with her and she was just like taking the report, but the
00:41worker had on the steel tips boots and he kicking, kicking and he said, but all hell
00:46loose.
00:47The subsequent weeks would reveal more concerns.
00:50The first bedroom, where we noticed water coming in, so it coming in from on top, because
00:59it's a three-story, you know, and give the amount of water. Well, it starts subtle now
01:05until, you know, it build up, build up here this night or two o'clock, three o'clock in
01:11the morning when I get up to go to the bathroom, give this water, water.
01:17Eventually, the problems spread throughout the entire apartment with water coming in
01:23every which way.
01:24Mopping, mopping. So we go into the next bathroom now, where the ceiling, the water coming down
01:31on the ceiling and the mold, all the dirtiness and all this, everything coming down. So after
01:39that now, was the kitchen. That evening I hear this cracking, cracking, cracking. And
01:46that was in March this year. Yeah, March early this year, they send somebody and they
01:53take the room and they know what they was looking for to see the earth shifting, I don't
01:57know, whatever. And with that stay there a little while before they actually come back
02:04to pick up all the rub, the rubbish.
02:08Ms Hicks and a friend, Clifford Critchlow, say they have made several reports to the
02:13HTC office in Maloney about the issues, but to no avail.
02:18I went up more than 25 times and I get tired. AGC, when they come here once, they went upstairs
02:26and then they went downstairs. They say some leak taking place to the upstairs and it affecting
02:34second and this floor.
02:38With the flooring compromised and the air quality poor due to the constant moisture
02:43and mold, Ms Hicks is begging to be relocated.
02:47It was scary. It is a situation where I don't know what would happen next. And I keep telling
02:54Clifford, I say, one of these days soon, the whole upstairs might collapse on me. You understand?
03:03They had to hurry up and make a decision. Shift me out and seal around here so nobody
03:10ain't going to be here and what, because it's scary. It is very scary.
03:15TV6 News contacted the HTC for a response. The corporation has given the assurance that
03:21it will contact Ms Hicks and says an investigation will be launched on Tuesday.
