In Beetham Gardens, residents are counting the cost of a devastating water leak that flooded homes over the Easter weekend. The burst WASA pipe left several families displaced and in urgent need of assistance.

00:03On Easter Sunday morning, residents of Beatum Gardens awoke to a massive water leak from a burst Wassa pipeline.
00:10One resident said the water gushed like a fountain, flooding their homes and forcing families to evacuate.
00:33She said the flooding continued non-stop for 24 hours affecting 10 homes.
00:52For these residents, the continuous flow of water made it impossible to carry out daily chores.
01:14One mother living with her two children and common-law husband is now asking for help.
01:20Right now we move to the front here and we squeeze up right now so I go like for a
01:25little help from a train bed back and the TV and stuff.
01:29We'll come and get soaked down and stuff now.
01:31Residents are now calling on authorities for urgent assistance.
01:36Furnitures, if they could come and help ply, they could help with anything.
01:41But basically because we are children in the back here.
01:44So anything they want to offer we, we will entertain because we need help right now.
01:47Because we're still recovering.
