00:00My lawyers met with me this morning and they will today issue letters to the
00:06licensing, to the transport division and to the police today. The search was
00:12centered around the claims that an inspection sticker was acquired
00:16illegally which Mr. James said is further from the truth. Mr. James said
00:22the search was nothing more than a political witch hunt by the PNM aided by
00:27the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. It was an attempt by officers from
00:32Trinidad possibly instructed by politicians in Trinidad to undertake
00:39this action to say to Tobago the people that you have elected are of no
00:46consequence to us and we can do to them as we please. Chief Secretary Farley
00:52Augustine said the matter is concerning and is similar to the previous searches
00:56at the homes of assemblymen during the leaked audio tape matter referred to as
01:02audio gate. I really am baffled as to why this heavy-handed operation save and
01:10accept that this has the DNA, the fingerprints of the PNM all over it.
01:17And while the Chief Secretary said Mr. James has the Executive Council support
01:22he expects the political persecution to become worse. I have grown to expect
01:27nothing less than this and I expect in the coming weeks and months as the
01:32country moves towards a general election that it will get worse. I expect some
01:36sleepless nights, I expect some nights that have to pray over some people's
01:40head, I expect I expect a battle unlike any that we have ever faced but in a war
01:48we go like David is never afraid. Elizabeth Williams TV6 News
