Transcript
00:00Okay, Ashmini, seeing that you're getting ready for the women's Caribbean Premier League, what sort of preparations have you been putting in?
00:07Well, the preparation has started since the beginning of the year. We've had camps with the West Indies team
00:14We've had the regional tournaments and just concluded a camp with the women's senior team
00:20How strong do you think the Guyana Amazon Warriors chances are?
00:22Well, I think we have a pretty good chance because we finished as runners-up last year
00:27So I think we'll just take that momentum and keep going into this year.
00:31What sort of goals do you have for this year's WCPL?
00:36Well this year, not much, but I'm just looking forward to making my debut and making use of the opportunity that comes
00:45With regards to the team that you have, how well have you gelled with your teammates?
00:51Yeah, regarding the team, I think we have a well-balanced team and I think today's the first day
00:55Everyone's been meeting with each other and we've been participating. We had training and stuff like that. So I think we're gelling quite nicely
01:03Regarding the teams to be wary of, I know you have just two other teams, of course
01:06but what sort of respect you have for TKR and
01:10defending champions Barbados Royals?
01:12Well, normally we play cricket on the day
01:15So I think it's mutual respect for all of us, but on a given day, that's when the cricket is being played
01:21And on a final note, what do you have to say to the fans attending because usually for
01:27CPL you see a packed house and for the men's Caribbean Premier League
01:33Of course, you have lesser number of matches, just three franchises. What do you have to say to the public of Trinidad and Tobago?
01:40Well, I'd just like to urge the public to come out and support us
01:43I mean, there's three men's game playing before us and I think people would come out to that, just stay and
01:49Watch the women, support them.
01:51Cheers, all the best.
