If over the moon was a person it would be West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite who likened the win to some of the exciting victories that the men in maroon were able to achieve in the past.

00:00The West Indies achieved their first test win away to Pakistan in 34 years, this after
00:05coming from behind to win the second and final match in Multan to make it 1-1.
00:09Captain Craig Brathwaite did his part with the second innings of Century as the men in
00:13Maroon eventually won by 120 runs.
00:15We're very proud of how we went about this game, obviously winning the toss was a plus
00:20as well and I think Warrick Khan and Murti in the first innings really set up the game
00:28for us.
00:29So yeah, very proud of this team.
00:31The West Indies had scores of 163 and 244 in the match while Pakistan made 154 and 133.
00:39It therefore meant that the surface provided a lot of challenges.
00:43Both test matches the pitch was tough to bat on and we knew that so as I said they just
00:50wanted us to be brave to do whatever plans we have to go there and execute them as good
00:55as possible because regardless of what there will be a ball with your name on it on this
01:00pitch.
01:01I mean it was a difficult pitch to bat on so it was good to see the confidence we went
01:05about doing it and as I said very proud of this team.
01:08In order to come out on top the West Indies think tank had to plan properly, according
01:12to Brathwaite that included being brave out in the middle.
01:16I mean it was just for the batsmen to be brave, as I said everyone's going to have their plans.
01:23Be brave in whatever you want to do as batsmen and bowling wise bring forward the batsmen
01:28as much as possible and there will be 20 balls that you will get 20 wickets because as I
01:33said the pitch is a difficult pitch so there's no second guessing.
01:37You're going to get out on this pitch regardless of what you do.
01:40So as batters I just wanted the guys to be brave which we did which was good and bowling
01:44wise bring forward the batsmen as much as possible in 90 overs and you'll get 20 wickets
01:49no doubt.
01:50This win for the West Indies cements the point that cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties.
01:55After all the West Indies were 54 for 8 in their first innings and the rest is history.
02:00As such this win means a lot to the captain.
02:02Yeah it's a very important win for us it just shows that we can get it done in any conditions
02:09once we believe and always have a plan but it was good it's right up there with some
02:16amazing test wins because coming here playing here in Pakistan it's never easy to win a
02:21test match so coming out with a win is fantastic you know very very very proud of this team.
02:27This WTC cycle saw the West Indies earning 1-1 draws against Australia, Bangladesh and
02:32Pakistan.
02:33The men in maroon finished 8th while Pakistan ended in 9th position which is the bottom
02:38of the table.
