00:04Works and Transport's U-turn system. The other is the spot speed camera system.
00:09Minister of Works and Transport Rohan Sinhanan is again clarifying that the
00:14system which is in place at this time is the red light cameras as a project for
00:20the latter is still being organized. He made the comments on the TV6 morning
00:24edition where he also sought to assure the public that the traffic systems in
00:28place are not intended to be a revenue earner for the government.
00:58The minister says based on some of the accidents that are occurring the
01:13problem is not really one of infrastructure but rather personal
01:17responsibility and how people utilize the nation's routes. The Ministry of
01:23Works and Transport is still on standby.
