00:00According to Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath, TSTT has been underutilized in terms of its potential.
00:07In a few short months, we will have the launch where TSTT will no longer be just a telecommunications company.
00:15It will be a technology-based company where telecommunications will be a component.
00:22We are talking about data centers.
00:24You are looking at new areas of technology where you are creating microchips to put into the laptop computers.
00:34He says that TSTT has invested in new areas of business growth, technology and digital transformation, which will read down
00:42to job creation.
00:43His statements come as the BeMobile Future Leaders Investment Program has moved from 600 participants, taking in 1,200 participants
00:53between the ages of 17 to 35 this year.
00:57Acting Chief Executive Officer of TSTT Kino Cox says the intention is to be able to compete in a global
01:03market space that continues to grow.
01:05And therefore, this year, our focus for 1,200 participants will be in three broad areas, as you see there,
01:12technology, innovation, robotics.
01:14And we're so proud this morning to partner with NEHIRST, as you hear more about NEHIRST and our partnership this
01:19morning, to deliver these core mandates.
01:23The second major area is digital media and content creation.
01:26And the third is digital growth and tech entrepreneurship.
01:30NEHIRST is providing training.
01:32Cox says it will support the goals of the company and wider community in future, by way of finding influencers
01:38and helping businesses to expand their digital footprint.
