00:00 Hi my name is Grant I'm the AGM at Rapscallion Tortuga in Port Solens.
00:06 So we originally have a restaurant in Southsea called Rapscallion Southsea
00:11 and that opened about just over two years ago I believe and then basically
00:16 that became one of the the leading bars in Portsmouth and it was all about
00:21 pirates it's all about you know a bit more about rum, good quality cocktails,
00:25 good music, quite rocky music, loud music, makes us kind of stand out and then I
00:31 believe Dan the owner and his brother Calvin and their dad Gary decided to
00:36 expand on that a little bit so we've moved from a small sort of tavern kind
00:41 of intimate kind of loud place in Southsea to something a bit more larger
00:46 scale a bit more grander and a lot more food a little bit more food based and
00:51 obviously here in Port Solens it's perfect for that. As the customers walk
00:58 in they'll see something completely different probably that they might not
01:00 ever ever even experienced before you know you've got pirates about you've got
01:05 everywhere you look you've got something to see you've got birds above your head
01:09 and it's a big open space but and then as you carry on through you see they've
01:15 put a lot of effort into the decor the lighting the sound system is great
01:20 obviously we've got something even even more different which is the Giants
01:24 captain area which is a big ship which you can go up and sit down and you can
01:29 kind of oversee everything and then obviously what we also have is the bar
01:33 it's like a tiki bar which is almost like you're sat on an island and then I
01:38 guess the next part will be obviously the quality of the food you know the
01:43 food goes from all different parts of the world so kind of encapsulate in that
01:47 kind of Tortuga feel kind of pirates were from all different parts of the
01:51 world but they all congregated at Tortuga it's kind of what we're looking
01:55 for. So it's it's it's almost very Disney you go into you go you go into
02:00 the toilet you're gonna be told a story I won't ruin what story that is but it's
02:03 very pirate themed and you know as you're in there you can you know you'll
02:08 learn quite a bit about a very famous book and it's all like yeah it's a
02:13 a completely different experience than you'll get anywhere else really.
