गंगा नदी की तरह ही नर्मदा को भी पूजनीय माना गया है और इसका पूजन करने से भगवान शिव का भी आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है. माघ माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की सप्तमी तिथि के दिन मां नर्मदा का जन्म हुआ था और हर साल इस दिन नर्मदा जयंती मनाई जाती है. इस दिन नर्मदा नदी में स्नान के साथ पूजन करना फलदायी माना गया है. इस साल नर्मदा जयंती 16 फरवरी को मनाई जाएगी चलिए बताते हैं कि इस दिन क्या करना चाहिए क्या नहीं.

Mother Narmada was born on the Saptami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Magh month and Narmada Jayanti is celebrated every year on this day.
