00:00 They're young, mean and fresh on the scene.
00:08 And they're doing a pretty good job at it.
00:11 From celebrity boots to fancy lights, a passionate fan base and a whole lot of excitement.
00:17 The RAB Kickboxing craze is TNT's latest undergone sensation.
00:21 Alright, so RAB is a cultural event, firstly I want to say that.
00:24 You know, we try our best to be able to promote local talent.
00:29 We realise that they are promotions but they're not doing it right.
00:32 We feel like they're more focused on the business aspect than the way of the chain.
00:36 Essentially, RAB is to be able to find Trinidad talent, combatants and just propel them as far as they can go.
00:46 And while Martin Luther King had a dream for three former Fatima College friends, Darrell Ford, Joshua Gasset and Dylan Haney.
00:54 It was a whiff of good old inspiration that caused them to stumble upon one of TNT's most successful fight series.
01:00 Oh this whole thing even started.
01:03 It was my best friend and I, just off of Wildness.
01:06 We were like, "Hey, let's have a fight."
01:08 You know, because he's not learning to fight, I was learning to fight.
01:11 And then we invited friends, set up camera and everything.
01:14 Trust me, it was like this but much smaller, a scale bar in our backyard.
01:18 It was called Backyard Razz before.
01:20 And then we were like, "You know what? Let's take this. We could actually make this something."
01:26 And with that, we were just like, "Alright, take on Backyard. Razz is the way to go."
01:31 That's how we have RAB.
01:33 To date, the 25-year-olds have hosted four events that have been able to attract hundreds of fans,
01:39 including non-traditional kickboxing supporters and a large youth population.
01:44 In fact, the ability to combine entertainment and kickboxing has been a winning formula,
01:49 causing a high demand for their fight tickets.
01:52 Honestly, what works for us, what makes our promotion so different and more appealing
01:58 is that at the very core, we're a Trinidadian.
02:02 We know that partying, we look for reason to party for anything.
02:06 Throw a lime, throw a fed, drink something, just chill with your friends and people.
02:11 And we know that there was something missing in events.
02:15 Because there's always a party, there's always a boat ride.
02:18 We could have gone that route, but we were like, "No, how do we combine two things that we love,
02:23 sports, martial arts, and partying, and fighting?"
02:28 And we were like, "That's the way to go."
02:31 Despite their success so far, the RAB's promoters have no plans to slow down any time soon.
02:36 We want to be able to rival the North with the ultimate fighting championship,
02:42 and the East, Eastern part of the world as well, one championship.
02:45 We want to be that--we want to be the top three.
02:48 And we want to be on top, of course. So that's what's next for us.
02:51 So if you don't want to be one of the unlucky ones to miss out on experiencing a true RAB's Trini style,
02:57 be sure to hop on the RAB's Fight Promotion Instagram page to keep up to date with the slamming action.
03:03 [crowd cheering]
