00:10It is historic. It is an event that is going to be memorable for many of generations to come.

00:18It is a connection between India and Trinidad where we have shared that common bond of 180

00:26years indentureship that we would have gone through this being a 56th generation and Prime

00:32Minister Modi's visit to Trinidad is simply marking that milestone of a history. 180 years later

00:39that is a memory, that is a lifetime, that is a joy, that is a celebration.

00:46Meanwhile another patron from La Brea tells us he was very impressed.

00:51I must compliment the Prime Minister Mr Moody for his insightfulness. He has done a whole

01:00lot of research on Trinidad and Tobago because he made mention of things that I didn't expect

01:06him to make mention of. I think he is a very good Prime Minister and because of the fact

01:15that it is the first time I know him coming to Trinidad and he had so much information on Trinidad and Tobago.

01:26The patron says he didn't view the event as an Indian diaspora event and says the visit of PM Modi

01:34should bring us together instead of having a polarizing effect.

01:38Our country is cosmopolitan as it is and the greater part of the country belongs to the East

01:47Indian and the Africans. So we always intertwine with each other. We go to the same schools,

01:54we play on the same field, we are the one another neighbor. So there is not much of a difference in

02:01Trinidad between the East Indian and the African. As a matter of fact we get along so fine that sometimes

02:08you may be closer to the East Indian as a brother than your own personal brother.
