00:03 - A plus 220 price on the Bulldogs.
00:05 Alabama, the second best number
00:07 to win a national championship,
00:09 but ranked fourth in the AP poll.
00:11 Ohio State is third in both the national title odds
00:15 and the AP poll.
00:16 Michigan is fourth, but ranked second in the AP poll.
00:20 LSU number five, and has the fifth best price
00:23 to win that national championship.
00:24 So Zeno, when you look at the top 10 per se,
00:28 to match it up with our national title odds,
00:31 where do you think the rankings
00:33 and the numbers make the most sense?
00:35 - Well, a lot of this to me, Ben,
00:38 revolves around what you believe
00:40 about new quarterbacks across the board.
00:42 You bring that graphic back up,
00:44 Georgia, new quarterback, Alabama, new quarterback,
00:46 Ohio State, new quarterback,
00:47 Clemson, new quarterback for all intents and purposes,
00:51 Kate Clubb, McDiggens, et cetera,
00:52 Penn State, new quarterback.
00:54 So I mean, all those teams that are up there,
00:56 if you believe that the new quarterback
00:57 that's coming in there is going to be able
00:59 to just pick up where everything left off,
01:01 then back 'em.
01:02 I mean, Alabama and Ohio State,
01:04 you just get your money at those numbers
01:06 at a sheer principle, right?
01:07 Just because you don't ever see those kind of numbers
01:09 on either one of those schools to win a national title
01:12 before they snap a ball in anger
01:13 to start the college football season.
01:15 So I think it's fair to wager on Alabama and Ohio State.
01:18 I wouldn't back Georgia to win another national title.
01:21 I just, they wouldn't get my money.
01:23 I think there's more that can go wrong
01:25 that then could go right for this team.
01:26 Granted, again, they'll still have a very easy schedule
01:28 getting through the SEC East.
01:30 They could even drop a regular SEC game,
01:32 a regular season SEC game, and it won't hurt them
01:34 because they'll still come out of the East.
01:35 They'll still play for an SEC title in December.
01:38 And if they win it,
01:38 they're going to the college football playoff.
01:39 End of discussion.
01:41 However, there are a lot of teams on this graphic
01:43 that we aren't seeing that are still worth a look.
01:47 When you talk about, again, Ben,
01:48 I'll go back to the Pac-12 of quarterbacks
01:51 who are still in place, Bo Nix in Oregon,
01:54 Michael Pennix in Washington, you know,
01:56 and even Caleb Williams at USC, obviously.
01:59 Somebody is coming out of the Pac-12
02:00 to make the college football playoff.
02:02 And if it's one of those three quarterbacks,
02:03 whether it's Nix, Williams, or Michael Pennix Jr.,
02:07 they're going to have a great shot to win the whole thing.
02:09 So if I'm looking at a little bit longer odds here,
02:12 that's where I'd go.
02:13 I'd kind of also, you know,
02:14 look at who I think can win the conference,
02:16 because I'm telling you,
02:17 I feel pretty confident being the last year of the Pac-12.
02:21 As long as somebody does,
02:22 as long as every team doesn't have two losses, guess what?
02:25 Pac-12 is going to go to the college football playoff,
02:27 because it ain't going to be no more after this.
02:29 So call it sentimental, stupid, or favoritism or what,
02:33 but still, I believe in this conference.
