Customs Dept seizes smuggled tortoises at KLIA

The Customs Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle hundreds of the world's most endangered tortoises into the country from Madagascar. The 325 Indian Star tortoises and five Ploughshare tortoises are valued at RM1.2 million.
