A herd of an estimated 100 elephants was spotted crossing a road in Sri Lanka, causing traffic to halt at their passing.

The visual came out of Pandiruppu in Ampara District on September 25, and shows the pachyderms crossing the road one by one.

Following this, they gathered together and dashed across the farm field on the other side.

According to reports, rapid development has erased the elephant corridors that once existed, leading more and more wild elephants to stray into human habitats.
